| Apparently. I didn't notice him around the thread in S1, but whatever. Probably time to use the ignore button, now that I know his "predictions" are probably going to be accurate. |

Registered 17 years agoDidn't see his recent predictions in the thread but in the earlier seasons he was hanging about making vague 'guesses' in the TV thread, which stood uit if you were a fellow cunty bookwanker*.

No. I told someone the little side story and Thorne bringing the walker hand to kings landing had been cut when someone mentioned it around season 3 or 4 as well as saying I was interested in seeing what they do with the ironborn as they weren't following the books with that story.

Registered 9 years agoTbf, even a monkey could guess that Thoros would be the only one to die. This show apparently can't kill off important or likeable characters anymore. -

Registered 15 years agoThey should have had someone else be put in the Tormund situation and killed them off. Tormund can't be killed as he's the only actual wildling character left so that bit just seemed silly. -

Bollocks, the show has killed off so bloody many important or likeable characters there just aren't enough left to keep the story going.

The ship battle would have been a good opportunity to kill Theon, who at least *was* important. Instead, they killed a few women that everyone hated.
The first dragon battle would have been the perfect opportunity to kill Bronn, who's a fan favourite but isn't really doing a whole lot in the story. Instead, nobody important died (the Tarlys don't count).
The Wight suicide mission would have been a good time to kill... well, basically anyone but the priest who we hadn't seen since season 3 or whatever.
I'll give you Olenna. She was great. But there haven't really been many significant named deaths for a while now, and the seeming reluctance to kill any more isn't helping make the story more manageable, with only 8 episodes to go until it ends for good. -

Registered 9 years agoI havent touched any of the scripts or anything (or read any fan theories because people are assholes) but there are a fair few major character deaths possible in the finale. The Ayra Sansa and Lf story should come to a head. There will be the meeting between Dany and Cersei as well i guess. Unless she doesnt travel to kings landing and its just the undead being dropped off by a delegation. -

Registered 13 years agoThe Frey's, Olena, 2 probably 3 of the sandsnakes, the tarlys, Thoros plus the dragon in 6 episodes with probably at least 1 major death in the next episode, either at winterfell or king's landing, not bad going really. -

Registered 9 years agoNone of those were really major characters, though, or all that surprising. I guess the shock value is sort of gone for me, as the show becomes more... conventional, if that's the right word.
Previous seasons really had an "anyone can die" kind of feel about them. Whereas major characters now feel like they're being saved for the final season, and as such have their plot armour on. It doesn't do much for suspense or sense of peril when you know that Jon Snow isn't going to drown or whatever. -

Registered 9 years agoIts brave to make that assumption before the finale though, it could end up being a bloodbath. -

Registered 13 years ago@Mola_Ram I would class Olena and the dragon as the 2 major deaths, I guess nearing the end most of the main characters will have to survive for the final battle, it's not like they have much time to introduce new characters. -

Registered 15 years agoAnd also to be fair even if they were major characters, it's going so fast and the consequences of the deaths are being skipped over so much it's easy to forget they died anyway. Olenna aside. -

Registered 8 years agoI though Olena was dead already TBH, in the crypt with everyone else in her family. Was quite surprised when she popped up in that episode.... -

Registered 15 years agoNot sure if this can be considered a spoiler, or if anyone really cares enough if they did read this, but I'll spoiler tag it anyway. Confirms something about a character we haven't seen for a few episodes which wasn't really made clear in the show
Ellaria and her daughter with the "bad pussy" is dead. The actress confirms it: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/tv/2017/07/31/ellaria-sand-actress-confirms-wont-coming-back-game-thrones/
Much like the Dorne storyline, I doubt anyone cares, which is a shame.

Registered 14 years agoI thought there were hints that the Knight King was one of the ancient Starks. More likely to be Bran the builder than Bran the socially inept. -

Registered 9 years agoI get confused reading this thread as I thought it was the book thread. I have no idea what you lot are talking about most of the time but I think you are talking about the tv show right?
Otherwise I must have missed large chunks of the books somehow. -
Knight King being an ancient Stark is book I believe, theory that he's Bran in some weird way is show.
