I was reading about Jobs last night and there are various accounts alleging that he's a proper cock - for example cheating Wozniak out of money while they both worked at Atari (I think), firing people seemingly on a whim, taking credit for others' ideas and so on. And, while I've been lusting after an iMac, all this made me wonder about whether I should purchase one or not. I just wanted to get some opinions here, I suppose more for the discussion than a hand-wringing exercise. What kind of behaviour should we tolerate in people if they make quality things? |
Anyone else have desire for Macs tempered by Jobs' reputation?

Registered 15 years agoWhat I find peculiar is that he's supposedly a buddhist and, clearly, does some very not-like-buddha shit.
We've got two macbooks and an iPad, so I'm not saying he makes his products bad. It's just this weird kind of disconnect. I mean, if I was browsing in a shop and the owner was a complete twat, I'd take my business elsewhere, as would others. But in this case it feels like the rules have changed about what we'll tolerate. -
