Just a quickie to say that I arrived at work to find my Halo 2 LE sat on my desk.
After letting me down so badly with GTA: SA (Tuesday after release date) they have regained my trust, and I want to apologise for bashing them periodically over the last couple of days.

They shall continue to get my business.

That probably didn't deserve a thread. But I thought I'd just vent my happiness.

As long as they deliver a shiny copy of Pro Evo 4 next Thurs or Fri, I'll be equally happy!

Unlikely that will happen, the release has been pushed back a week.

Had heard that elsewhere on here, but not looked for clarification yet. That's rather irritating if true.

They managed to get Halo 2 (the most popular game of the year) to me on release day despite me not bothering to order it until Tuesday at 5pm.

For that I'm prepared to either have their babies or order Half Life 2 from them. I'm undecided as yet.

I'm just ordering mine from them now, as Pro evo seems to have been pushed back to 26th Nov

Of the 8 games I've ordered through Simply so far, 2 have arrived on release day, 3 the day before, 2 2 days before and 1 a week before. So I guess there's no reason for me to switch at the moment.

Apparently so. Look at the comments on the news story about the 19th being the confirmed release date (if that makes sense). Very annoying.

I'm about to suit up, ride home, pick up the delivery card, ride to the Post Office, and then come back to work.

Assuming there's a card to pick up.

    There'd better be a card...

Why might people be getting cards? Surely Simply don't send them all special delivery, so they must fit through the letter box....?

Paper Mario arrived this morning. Hehe, woot.

Still waiting for my Action Reply so that I can play Kururin Squash though...

play.com have never let me down. Does a company have to let you down for you to like them? (I'm confused...)

    >play.com have never let me down

Didn't get UT2k4 on release then? Ok, their distributor screwed up and they rectified it quickly but still, with the 2 day postage play.com are never exactly going to blow you away with speed of delivery. Thei prices more than make up for that.

    /checks SG Halo2 order

    Still 'in progress' :(

Edit: Just got a voice message from SG. My credit card was refused. Odd as the website definitely shows my credit card details that have been the same since I started shopping there. Maybe Barclays have screwed up.

Aaanyway, they did try and send me Halo2 yesterday so good for them. However, I never liked waiting to open presents as a kid so...

/goes out to town to see if W H Smiths still sell computer games.
