Just tap on the screen in the weather app. It will show you the hourly forecast for next 24 hours.

Default weather app on iPhone, not iPad. Pulling down on it again reveals hourly predictions like he said.

I live in Manchester, I don't need an app to tell me it's going to rain :)

It's only now I've just noticed the iPad doesnt have a default weather app. Don't miss that, but I would have liked a default clock app.

Something that is starting to annoy me now is the Wireless sync thing even though it only makes a backup etc plugged in it still shows in iTunes all the time both my iPhone and iPad and i keep dragging things to the wrong one !! :)

Met Office is the most accurate weather app.

I would have put money on it having one....having said that I do have a paid one, Magic Weather, all the weather you could possibly need.

The home button on my phone is driving me utterly crackers. This is my third under warranty ( now expired), little point me paying to get it fixed as I know it'll come back, grr!

Wish you could add the multitasking bar to the notification pull down, that'd make it livable.

Tempted to jailbreak just to add gestures. How reliable are tethered ones? I'm out of the house 12 hrs most days, be a ballache if my phone froze and I couldn't reboot till I got home.

Yeah, how difficult would it be to have a "Swipe Up" for Multitasking ala swipe down for Notifications. Shirley.

Yeah. Had a go on a Blackberry Playbook in a shop once, one of the main gestures was swiping up from the bottom bezel, perfectly intuitive.

Really annoys me the home button as otherwise it works an absolute charm under ios5.

Yeah I think it more or less flashes the Phone when you update but you will obviously loose all the Jail feartures you added.

i'd do a restore rather than an update so that it gets rid of all the other shit that JB installs.

hehe found the best feature of iOS 5. keyboard shortcuts!

now if i type in "shit" into an SMS, it converts it to "Tottenham"
  • Deleted user 19 October 2011 10:16:53
    Arsenal are Tottenham?

Bit the bullet and just jailbroke with redsn0w, installed Activator and, et voila, I've got a swipe up gesture from bottom middle for the multitasking bar. It's the only reason I've jailbroke, and I'm a little fearful because it's still tethered only, meaning I'm up shit creek if it crashes while I'm out. Thing is, my phone is practically unusable about 33% of the time due to the bastard home button so it's worth the risk.

Well downloaded Lion, only to find that mailboxes still don't sync across devices?

Why on earth can't my read message be marked as read, no matter if I read it on my iPhone or my iMac? It makes no sense.

Tottenham used to be Tottenham, but now Arsenal are well Tottenham, and much more Totenham than Tottenham.

OK, sorry but can someone explain the iCloud email address to me please. It has the same password as the address I have previously registered with Apple. IS there anything stopping me just abandoning all other email accounts and using this as my primary?

Given Apple's propensity for summary abandonment of anything THEY deem 'legacy'... I wouldn't! (Not a troll - typing this on a Mac, with an iPhone in my pocket and an iPod Touch on the desk beside me!)

Do you mean you set up an AppleID with another (non apple) email address and now you have an iCloud address you want to use that exclusively? You can do it but it's not as elegant as apple like to claim to be all the time. You can't transfer one ID to another or merge accounts so all purchases from the store are linked to each account and when you update you'll need to use the respective passwords for each. They are tied to the device you use them on though so they won't stop working.

Is anyone else finding that iCloud push notifications are completely unreliable? Bloody annoying.
