I hate fucken Starbucks coffee, it tastes like shit... Weak-ass shit, too.

Oh do they do coffee? I thought they just served massive cups of warm milk.

Starbucks is a fucking lifesaver when in Asia. Easiest place to get a non instant coffee without that hideous coffee creamer they seem to love over there.

I only ever buy coffee of the day and I find it good value for money.

They do make a kick ass Irish at Milo to be honest. And you can even get a private booth at some of them.

However, we’re sorry to announce that we’ve been forced to accept there isn’t enough memory to allow us both to bring Gingerbread and keep the HTC Sense experience on the HTC Desire.

So they physically cannot do it. Why then is personal hotspot only supporting the iphone4?
They physically cannot do it because the software RAM footprint is too large. You wouldn't get that with IOS and iPhone. Sure you may get features being disabled if the CPU is not up to scratch on a handset 2 generations old (i.e. multitasking with IOS4 on 3Gs) but you'd at least be able to install and use the OS.

The issue here, is that it Android is a variable hardware platform and a relatively open software ecosystem. This has advantages of course, but has resulted in the Desire now being obsolete as far as Android updates are concerned. Pretty shitty really and the clear advantage to having such a tight control over your platform's hardware.

The point still stands (it just gets moved somewhere else) but HTC have changed their minds on the memory requirements.
