Registered 14 years agoA friend of mine has been working on this for a while, Aaero. It's a rhythm rail shooter that's been compared to Rez. It reminds me of vintage Starfox at times, Twitch streamers have compared it to Wipeout too. One of the team has previously worked on the Guitar Hero series and DJ Hero. I believe the game ahs gone to Sony and Microsoft for certification but the Kickstarter is to try and get it on Steam within the next month.
I think it was playable at Rezzed.
Anyhow, it's a tenner pledge for a Steam key.

Registered 19 years agoAma's Lullaby Kickstarter ends in a week and needs another 10,000 euros to be funded. Cyber-punk point and clicker (inspired by the 90s Blade Runner game), although worth noting it's initially just a first episode.

Registered 19 years agoRemember 'Undergrads', the animated series from 2001 that only lasted one series? I do, but I've never met anyone else in the UK who saw it.

Well there's a Kickstarter campaign for Undergrads: The Movie. £29 pledge for a digital copy of the final release, I've just gone for the £0.59 pledge to be kept informed of its progress.

Registered 19 years agoSkateBIRD- a skating game featuring small birds. Already reached it's target but has several stretch goals including being able to pet the birds.
$1 gets your name in the credits, $15 dollars gets you that plus a copy of the game.

Registered 16 years agoWhy does a book that's already been written require a Kickstarter? Can you not just print them and then sell them like people have for centuries? -

I would assume that getting a set amount of money for set of books printed would result in higher quality books than whatever they call Amazon Createspace these days would churn out as a buy to print product.

Registered 19 years agoI like this guy a lot, he's trying to make a movie that I think will be fairly entertaining. He's got a solid grounding in what makes a good bad movie and frankly I think he deserves a bit of everyone's time, plus we need more of this type of schlock in the world.
