I'm on world 14, it's the only world AFAIK. New worlds start every so often. Needless to say I'm using this one as a test bed.

Same as Travian really; get some basic res in, get to barracks, get troops and rape pillage and plunder. I'm at co-ords 393,161. Larium.

I don't know if there's a NW/SW... see if you get negative co-ords. If there are negs then I'm in NW.

And I just founded the JCs.

Edit: There's an R13 next to my co-ords... but I'm not sure WTF that is.

OK, think I've found our problem with staying here... but it *may* not be an issue depending on how you feel.

We can't join up; we're too far apart.

In Travian you could join up simply be creating a new village; you can't create villages in Valor, only conquer them. And due to the way the Scholars work, this is going to be tough. Your first Scholar costs 50k of everything. Your second one costs more, and you need to hit a place multiple times to get it to join. I'd assume 6 times is a safe bet. But here's the killer; they hit SLOW. 25 minutes per field. Rounding a bit, if they hit for 20%, and 3% is recovered per hour it means you can only hit a town 6 fields away. It'd take a 2 hour and 30 minutes there, and 2 hour and 30 minutes back. By the time you could hit again, the loyalty would have recovered by 15%... meaning you'd have to send in 20 bloody waves.

This is *REALLY* restrictive. The only way around it is multiple scholars, but the resource costs will be astronomical.

On the flip side; within a week we're well established (Less so Tabs.

) so I think if we find the median point between us all and aim in the general direction of conquering we'll be OK... ?

My other recommendation is that tomorrow night at 20:00 we all spawn on World 15 in the NW quadrant, and see how th eluck of the dice takes us. If it's good and we're close ish to each other, we stick to it. If it's bad, we stick with 14.

Thoughts?

I'd go with this. If it doesn't work we'll end up doing the long, awkward system anyway.

How do you choose which section to start in? I ran the game for the first time and it plonked me into world 15 but fucked if I know where.

It lets you choose on the compass. Though you should have waited till 8pm, when we will all spawn in the NW.

There doesn't appear to be any settling in this game, so you can only expand through capture. And that has been nerfed so that it is only worth capturing places near you, so you have to expand outward from your starter city... no more setting up base in the middle of nowhere. Hence why we are all planning on restarting on server 15 in the same place.
