There is a surfeit of rail shooters on the Wii simply because bounding box turning is shit. -
Cause and effect. -

Registered 14 years agoTurning is bad on the Wii-mote, aiming is bad on game pads, I usually forget about these problems after a couple of minutes.
Neither are as crummy as using a laptop track pad to play FPS', though. -

Registered 17 years agoI hate the Wii. I hate its crappy tie-rate, because lots of people bought it with one game and then stuck it in the cupboard. I hate that it diverted a lot* of games that could have been decent on proper consoles onto the Wii with it's poor controls, poor graphics, miniscule amount of RAM, and anaemic processor. I hate that those games were then outsold by sing-along-a-nintendogs-sports-day gimmicky shovelware arse.
I don't hate the Wii U yet, although I admit its stupid name irks me. I do expect it to be another Nintendo "hey everybody lets bring gaming to the masses" gimmicky toy console though. Stuff the masses, can't they just watch ITV2?
Oh, and I know it's not for me - that's why I hate it. I hate Loose Women too, and Peter Andre the next chapter.
*all right. Monster Hunter. I wanted to see Monster Hunter on modern hardware, and I didn't. -

some people play games for a challenge, even today.
then again, what would nintendo owners know about a challenge?! or FPS's for that matter?
Get back to me when you've put down that last 5-hour casual FPS and finished Etrian Odyssey and Monster Hunter Tri.
I still haven't finished Mario Galaxy either, and thought that some parts of NSMB Wii were the hardest 2D levels in the series so far. Compared to shooters that I've played through on the PS3 in a couple of evenings, at least you get your money's worth out of the decent Ninty games if you aren't interested in multiplayer. -

You did Monster Hunter on modern hardware. You didn't want it because you're a developmentally-stunted two-year-old dick, who along with the rest of the brethren, are singlehandedly responsibly for flushing the industry down the toilet of a stunning lack of creativity and openness toward actual fun. -
I didn't see Monster Hunter on modern hardware either... Where is it? -
Isn't there a remastered PSP one coming up for PS3? If we get more than 4 people in a lobby, that'll be grand. -

A game with a focus on online play coming out on a console that is pretty shit at online. The PS3 version doesn't count because they never released it in the west. -

Give them a chance. It hasn't even been released in Japan yet. -
