Listened to Hunky Dory this morning. It never fails to lift my spirits whatever mood I’m in, and as you may have noticed dear reader, I’m capable of some pretty foul moods.

Followed it up with Aladdin Sane, and will now venture on the slightly less accessible, but ever so rewarding, Low.

Brilliant songwriter. Incredible performer. Amazing artist. Fantastic visionary.

    Come. Appreciate Bowie with me.

    Bowie is indeed God!

While his 70' stuff is obviously genius, (Scary Monsters And Super Creeps is my favourite) I'm also a fan of his modern albums. Heathen is incredible and nothing gets me up for a good night out like Earthling!

Yeah, I like all his stuff pretty much (although sometime his 80s stuff is a bit too 80s for me, need to be in the right mood).

He’s more or less managed to stay at the cutting edge without becoming cringe which is further evidence of God status.

He doesn't seem to have done anything live for years. Must be due some nice big outdoor shows.

    He's got a wonky voice.

    But looks tops in tights.

"Ziggy is the human manifestation of an alien being who is attempting to present humanity with a message of hope in the last five years of its existence. Ziggy Stardust is the definitive rock star: sexually promiscuous, wild in drug intake and with a message, ultimately, of peace and love; but he is destroyed both by his own excesses of drugs and sex, and by the fans he inspired."

    Yup, dull stuff...

Not one of his most acclaimed albums but Young Americans is superb.

Didn't Bowie do an electronic/drum and bass album in the mid nineties? I remember hearing and really liking one song, but never investigated it any further.

Stone Love is my favorite track, but I listen to a lot of Bowie, he's an absolute genius

Queen Bitch is probably my favourite track. Never really dabbled with the later stuff.

That'd be Outside, I'd say it's more industrial than anything, certainly worth a listen.

Earthling was the album I think. I quite like the song Little Wonder from it.

Judging by Source Code and Moon, we should actually put him out to stud with as many women as humanly possible to ensure the continued survival of british creative arts.
