I have just bought a new car (Mazda 5) and found that it has an auxillary port. Is it possible to connect an iPod classic to it i.e. do I just need a 3.5mm jack lead and if so, does it just connect to the headphone socket on the iPod? |

Registered 17 years agoWorks with iPod touch fine. I tend to use my nano in the car though as the touch is too fiddly when you're driving.
Edit: I use a Belkin Auto Kit with a 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable from it to my AUX input. Keeps it charged and you get better sound from using the iPod connecter rather than the headphone socket. -

Yes I have one, it's supposedly better than the 3.5 connector going into the Touch.
