| Er...word to the wise, 400 days is good, but so far S2 has been...okay. That's not to put it down, it's still good just not the same level as S1 in my opinion. We're already into Episode 3 and it seems a little more open in the story. There's a plot there, it's just a bit predictable for a zombie story. That's all. |

Trailer for season 2 finale: http://t.co/BQ2VPWa0nH
It's full of spoilers for season 1 & 2, so don't watch if you're not up to date - and I mean a lot of spoilers!
Also, the release date is 26th of August on PC/Mac and 28th of August in EU for Playstation and 360. -

Registered 9 years agoWell, that trailer has certainly made me pumped for the finale, especially after I found the previous episode disappointing. Didn't expect it to coming out so soon! I look forward to the Borderlands series after this. -

Registered 18 years agoJust started Ep. 1 of this - very, very good so far. I'm a bit in two minds whether or not to turn the off the pick-upables (?) notifications, however - it'll no doubt increase the immersion, but I'm afraid it'll hur the otherwise great pacing, if I have to scour each screen for vital items/clues.
Thoughts? -

Options don't matter that much. The game is all about the story and the characters.

Without giving anything away I can tell you it gets worse, far far worse. The Walking Dead VG has some of the most bleak, disheartening moments in any fiction I've ever experienced as far as I'm concerned.
Bizarre as it may sound that's a resounding endorsement, keep at it! -

Registered 18 years agoFinally got around to playing this because I caved in and bought the Telltale collection as it was cheap. I'm not really sure if I'm enjoying it or not to be honest.
Looking back at some articles that came out round about the time it was released and everybody seems to be going on about the Doug/Carley thing and speculating on why people chose which character. The thing that I find bizarre is that nobody seemed to say "Well, obviously I'm going to save the guy in danger of getting gnawed on by zombies because the other character HAS A FUCKING GUN AND SHOULD BE ABLE TO SAVE HERSELF!". Seriously, I thought it was make the most logical choice not choose who gets to live.
I kind of hope the choices get a bit more interesting after this, though. -

Just my quick thoughts on both seasons.
The Walking Dead Season 1 was a great push in the visual novel styled games and it had some really great moments with tough choices. Definitely somewhere on my top games lists.
Season 2...not so much. It wasn't at all bad, but I feel Telltale failed to grow the company to meet the demands of both The Wolf Among Us (which was also good) and The Walking Dead Season 2. The plots good in season 2, but apart from the 3 main characters in the last episode, most of them don't don't feel fully fleshed out.
I bought season 1 when it was all out and with all the delays and just slow output, I'm waiting for Tales from the Borderlands and Game of Thrones to be finished before buying them. -

edit;
Ignore me - just needed a bit more patience. Didn't work instantly like I thought it would but I guess there's quite a few people doing this at the moment for A New Frontier.

2 very strong episodes IMO. It always amazes me how much I get on with this when I found the TV show to be meandering dogshit. I only hope they don't take the piss with the downtime between episodes like S2.
Only niggle I have is that I feel as though I'm making a lot of my choices based on my attachment to Clem from the previous seasons, rather than doing what's right by Javier and his family. I'm making them more expendable than they really ought to be. -

Delete episode 2 and redownload?
Telltale games can be weird - I'm getting prompted to purchase the season pass despite the fact that said pass is part of the digital preorder bundle.
As for episode 2 itself, no spoilers but I got to the end and thought to myself "it's a small world". -

Same here, has done it for every one of them I have played, always asks me to buy the season pass even though I have it!
Looking forward to playing it tomorrow

Apparently features a new over the shoulder camera system, 4K/HDR support, a tweaked art style and unscripted combat sections. Finally Telltale are trying something new? -

Registered 13 years agoGot this pre ordered on the xbox, couldn't remember how much it was but just noticed an email from Microsoft confirming they have taken payment. £12.99! and as a pre order bonus you get every single previous chapter, 1,2, 3 and the Michonne stuff. Best bargain I've had all year. I've not played season 3 yet so I'll crack on with that first before I try the final chapter. -
That is a lot cheaper than the PS4 preorders...
Considering it despite usually playing on PC for the free 'Collection' so wife can play on PS4.
