I saw this video on Kotaku for a new indie first person puzzler called Antichamber that seems to be scooping up awards at the various indie game shows.

Looks rather mind bending, messing with your assumptions of game rules and your sense of reality.

The developer says he aims to release on Steam at some point in the future and there is an Official Site here.

Seen no buzz about this at all so in case everyone's forgotten about it, it's out now on Steam:

Impressions later once I've had a chance to give it a go...

Giant Bomb quick look - Antichamber.

May be considered spoilery by some in that they play through a couple of 'puzzles'. Didn't spoil anything for me just made my melon twist.

My head hurts. Partly because I've got a nasty cold, but also because visually this is hard on the eyes. I mean it looks great, but it definitely strains the eyes - too much white. Play with the lights on next time methinks...

Yep me too. 30 minute session and now head thumping. Some lovely ideas though and not as bizarre as i thought it would be.

It gave me a major Amiga vibe too.

Put a couple of hours into this so far, one of the most unique, compelling mindfucks i've played since forever. This game fucks with your expectations, repeatedly, incessantly and to brilliantly mindbending effect. There was one bit where something strange happened, i literally said "what the fuck" then turned around... brilliant :)

I quite enjoyed this. I think in parts it tries a bit too hard to be 'artsy', but it is a compelling, mind-fucking first person puzzle game. The art mostly screams 'coder art', but it kind of works.

Sometimes it's easy to lose the progression path and (re-)find the place where you're expected to progress now, and I'm sure I completed some puzzles by accident (or because of bugs) that I wasn't meant to be able to complete yet.
Also, controls can be iffy due to the first-person nature (e.g. distinction between drawing into the 'away from you' direction and up/down).

Took me about 16hours to reach the end (without having completed everything obviously).

Really enjoyed this. 9/10 for me.

Its good, i find its better to play in small chunks. When i get frustrated i turn it off, then when i come back i always find the solution straight away!

AMAZING GAME! It just is amazing!

I reached 'The End' after about an hour. Yeah, that turned out to be a lie! Sneaky bastards!

My wall of pictograms is filling up nicely. I have 46 of them so far
