That looks pretty good. It's there something over here that would show CBS?

I'm sure it'll be on somewhere. Prime or something.

Prime would be nice. Hopefully it's decent. I'm not even bothered about the ending as it's far from Kings worst endings. Good cast, as has been mentioned.

Yeah didn't think Whoopi was a good choice but she looks pretty good there.

CBS usually dumps straight onto Netflix here, so maybe it will drop on there.

That said, HBO stuff usually drops straight onto sky but there’s still no date for raised by wolves, so maybe not.

Marilyn Manson's role has been cut - he was to be The Kid, who only appeared in a flashback in the original, but was padded out in the extended edition.

I'm not happy clappy chappy about The Kid being cut. Though I don't know that the book really needed (book spoiler follows) anal rape with a pistol.

Remember watching mini series as a kid and finding it interesting.
WOuld love a modern take on it and probably would understand and enjoy it more now when I'm an adult.

I'm hoping this will be better than the last effort, although the book remains one of my favourite of King's.

This is going to be show on Starzplay in Europe, so a bit shit. Will wait until it's available to blitz through as a boxset.

Did anyone else catch that first episode?

I thought it was pretty good and fairly encouraging.

It will end up on starzplay or whatever the fuck its called, like Castle Rock and that other one.

Because, yay, satellite TV has been replace with the convenience of having to subscribe to 80 different streaming services.

Early reviews have it pegged as middling to good. A bit disappointing, but I'll still watch it when it's on something here.

Middling to good makes it the best Stephen King mini series by some distance doesn't it?

    /thinks

    ...yeah, you're probably right.

It's a shame the Dark Tower TV show got cancelled, I would have liked to see a Kingiverse.

The Outsider is probably the best adaptation so far.

I was talking about the Outsider. I hung up my cutlass and eye patch many moons ago. Mainly because I can't be arsed.

Wasn't the King version of Kingdom Hospital okay? It's been years since I watched it.

The Outsider was goodish but oh my it draaaaagged in the middle. They could've dropped two episodes and made it much tighter.

Salem's Lot was a TV miniseries (or special event or whatever they called it) as well. Not the remake, which was naff, but the decentish Hooper one.

It got quite good reviews which is why I watched it but I remember it being awful. Just incredibly drawn out and boring until the last episode when something almost exciting happened.
