I burnt the roof of my mouth eating a pizza on Saturday. I don't remember it being that hot but there was flappy skin and what felt like blisters and everything. It's all sore now and hurts when I drink tea.

Chipped a tooth! Urg. And adding insult to injury, my newly chipped tooth seems hell bent on shredding my tongue. This sucks.

@freddymercurystwin it's surprisingly difficult to lisp when your tongue is the size of a sausage roll. Currently can't say anything with a 'th' in it without dribbling...

The muscles in my back have gone into spasm because of the afternoon nap I took yesterday. I've still made it into work, although I made damn sure everybody knows about it.

This is the closest thread I think...

Just found out that the dvla aren't taking my licence away due to my glaucoma. I'm on a three year licence but that's as good as I can hope for.

    Thank fuck!

@Jeepers congrats. I lost my licence when i had a suspected stroke, so know what it feels like to suddenly lose it. I got it back when they decided it was an atypical migraine. Never been so happy to have a migraine :)

I lost my license a few years back after a canoe accident left me as just a head in a box. I do have a pretty sweet skateboard now though.
  • Deleted user 28 September 2016 19:54:07
You got a box? Tch, you were lucky
  • Deleted user 28 September 2016 19:55:34
I lost my license after I killed all those people.

Had a tooth abscess drained yesterday but the swelling in my cheek is still huge, like I've stuffed a golf ball in my mouth. Need to be on a week on antibiotics, which make me feel like shit :(

I cut my right thumb on some tin foil last night. Right on the side, at the knuckle. It's small but my God it stings like an absolute bastard.

Trying to cut open a bag last night I chose a filleting knife (because I am stupid and it was the first to hand). Fair to say it was a mixed success,  A opened the bag, B top of my left index finger is sort of missing.

    Multi purpose knives are useful.

I tried to cut the tag off my new Sergio Tacchini boxer shorts with a broadsword last night and cut off the lower half of my body. It was quite the wake up call.

Eh, you weren't using that half of your body anyway.

I've got terrible tennis elbow in my left arm. This is mystifying to me as a) I don't play tennis and b) it's not my wanking arm.

    It hurts like a sonofabitch.

Coincidentally, I have this in my right arm. A bit more understandable, as it is a) my wanking arm, and b) my drinking arm.

On a serious note, my niece's fiance is a physio - saw him at the weekend. Treatment is to bend your wrist forward (hello sailor style), pushing down on it to really pull on the muscle. Then you need to massage the point of pain in the elbow 3/4 times a day. Really hard. Apparently this restarts the healing process - assume bu increase in blood flow.

Is that the John Inman regime? I like the sound of that.

Hurts like a bastard. Which is probably what John Inman said more than once...

Went to work with a cold. Sneezing and coughing everywhere, no doubt spreading the bug to half of the town. Got lots of sympathy (somehow), except for one women who outrageously called it 'man flu'. Sitting at home now feeling sorry for myself.

Fell down about half a flight of stairs. Have to admit it hurt like a git and my wife did the usual of asking me exactly what happened and where does it hurt when i was busy trying not to swear at the top of my voice.

I had fallen asleep and decided that i should stagger groggely down the stairs to get dinner ready quickly rather than wake up properly. That, a dim stairway and socks and i made one of my quickest ever descents of the stairs, deciding to totally skip the last few.

I made dinner though and I'm now sitting down and licking my wounds and double checking I've got movement in all my digits. Muppet that i am.

So I think a rat or a mouse has died, it's either in the walls, or the floorboards and the reason I know cause I can smell it's dead body in my bedroom. I've had the window open all day, The smell doesn't seem as bad now but it's still there. But it's not so bad because I'm in here watching telly.

So I'm waiting on amazon to deliver this https://www.amazon.co.uk/Earthcare-remover-remove-smelly-smells/dp/B00O671ZYS it can't come soon enough!

My 3 year old was choking for what seemed like an age yesterday from an apple. Absolutely shit it but managed to get her to cough it up and no harm done besides me nearly having a nervous breakdown.
