Yep, I laughed out loud at Noel's comments about her perfect buns of whatever it was he said to her. I figured she was just trying her best to catch Paul's eye. Glad the person who lost has left. I'd got a bit sick of them |

Registered 9 years agoGot to love people calling Prue Leith a cut price or Aldi Mary Berry, Mary Berry spent most of her professional life demoing Electric Ovens, yes really. Prue Leith owned a Michelin starred restaurant for years. Anyone who knows anything about the cooking world would know that GBBO have traded up. -

Registered 16 years agoSo strange to think that people expect a professional presenter would be better at presenting a cooking than a professional cook, I guess it's like getting Mika Hakkinen in to do Top Gear -

Registered 20 years agoI think Mary had had cookery shows on the BBC in the 70s or something. She was new to me when I saw her on GBBO though. Prue on the other hand had just been a slightly snooty judge on Great British Menu before now (a sort of round the country Masterchef) to be best of my knowledge (and a published author and restaurateur/owner of a cookery school). -

I thought Sophie was the most eye catching in the last episode. Her cleavage was on constant display and despite was they said about the tent being hot, she looked like she was smuggling extra ingredients down her top.
I was kind of hoping the second place persom would have got start baker as they're about the only one I've really got on with in this season. The rest I've found just a bit dull. -

Registered 12 years agoaye, it would take something special or a massive error for her to lose it, i think....and i'd agree, the standards been pretty weak/inconsistent...i suppose you can expect it somewhat in the technical round but they've had chance to perfect the others.. -

Registered 17 years agoYep pretty boring series I think and really getting bored with Noel and Sandy. I do like Pru though. -
Yeah, still watching. They've been a pretty dull bunch to be honest and once Liam went, I've been just half watching it.
I'm hoping Sophie wins, just because I don't really like the other two and I don't agree that Steven's nice tasting raw and overcooked creations are better than someone who knows how to cook, but that's just me and Paul disagrees and he's the expert. -

Registered 7 years agoI'm still enjoying it.
I think Steven is actually the most technically proficient and has amazing attention to detail. But he is often too ambitious, and he clearly doesn't do well under pressure at all - which is of course an important required skill in the tent. This leads him to make bad on the stop decisions.
One thing I still find faintly ridiculous is that they haven't decided to install air conditioning in the tent yet. It has destroyed many a creation.

Yes the missus and I were discussing this, it's bizarre, as if they have purposefully not done it to give them a bigger challenge, that said they should be adjusting their creations to suit where possible. -

Registered 9 years agoIt always wrecks the top chefs on great British menu when it comes down to desserts and they try and temper chocolate or something similar. I would say its on purpose here as well just to add drama. -

Registered 9 years agoWhat's been quite good this series is Liam aside, it's a bit like the Apprentice where I've found the contestants to be absolute cunts. Sophie for example is such a smug turd, would love to see her lose, but then that means obviously one of the other two twats will so it's a tough one.
Noel and Sandi are light years better than those dickheads Sue and Mel too I must say. Shaky start probably down to nerves, now they're excellent. -

Registered 20 years agoSince the first couple of series, the winners have always been self-obsessed cunts because it takes that level of dedication to beat all of the other cunts. This series does have slightly more cunts than comically clueless idiots than the older series had, and there's little that the judges can do but vote out the odd cunt when they have a bad week, as they did with the one this last week. Cunts. -
