I work in an English training centre. We have a kitchen there but only have ovens, no hob/hot plates. I have done cookery with classes before but we are quite limited as to what we can make and it generally tends to be pizzas (expensive) or cupcakes (lame). Im not exactly masterchef so does anyone have any ideas for things that I could make with my class, it has to be quite simple and use only an oven (or microwave). Thanks for any ideas. |

Registered 10 years agoPasta bake.
Lasagne.
Stuffed peppers or tomatoes - can stuff with cous cous mix, or rice (both of which can be done in microwave). For cous cous I add raisins, almonds onion, honey, a little bit of cinnamon or ras el hanout spice mix.
Baked potatoes - use anything to stuff with after cooking eg baked beans, cheese, and onion.
Roasted vege medley. Parsnips and carrots can be lightly coated in honey 10 mins from finish. -

Registered 16 years agoMac Cheese - make a roux. Mix flour and butter till you have goop. Boil pasta elbows. Grate fuckton of cheese. Mix with roux. Mix with pasta in dish. Add sliced tomato and bacon and cubes of bread to top. More cheese. Cook.
Vegie meddly with Chicken Tenders. Marinade cage critter in some strong sauce then plop on top and bake. Tinfoil over the dish.
Meringue.
Get a hob plate. One that has a plug that goes into the electrical socket. You have those?
Mince and tatties; mince, potatoes, onions, carrots and gravy. Cook them all, mash tatties, serve. Peas if you're trying to impress, make fine.
Pasta Sauce - tomatoes and onions and olive oil. Add other things from the garden and maybe some ground up animal. Cook them all, serve with noodles. Sauce better if cooked night before.
Hash browns - grate potatoes, cook in butter with stuff sprinkled on. Add some cheese and tomatoes. Don't burn, turn. Serve together with left over steak FTMFW.
Pesto - Blize could make this without any help
Chile - like Pasta Sauce but with kidney beans and chilis and other hot things. Serve solo or with rice, (micro, real rice is a cunt). -

The sausages should keep warm and moist if you store them in your y-fronts whilst driving. -

Then shred that duck, my friend, put some fine sliced cucumber and spring onion on a wrap with the sauce, chuck in the duck and chow down on the greatest thing the Chinese ever gave us! -
