*sob* My dentist just sent me an estimation of costs that made me cringe. I could buy a little house by the lake for this. Bye bye, GBA SP, bye bye broadband access, bye bye life of luxury... *sob* Gotta buy a game to compensate the pain. *snivel* |
Need some sympathy

I had the same thing just before xmas, and ended up taking out family health insurance with hsa. Been very impressed, did it all online and its only £14 a month, tho i think they do cheaper ones. I highyl recommend them. -
lol, I'll call my soon to be dismissed servant to bring you your coats...
Don't know which game to get, but I think it's got to be a violent one. I am definitely in the mood to crack some skulls today. If only BLack Hawk Down wasn't a bit inappropriate at the moment...maybe I should get Enclave (all import copys, luckily available at my trusted indie shop). -

Surely your health insurance covers this?
At least the policy I had whilst living in Germany covered dental work. -
lost soul, they only cover a fraction really, as soon as you want to get something more fancy than a block of cement, you gotta pay yourself...

My advice - forget your teeth, just get your brand spanking new GBA-SP and a pack of straws. -
Well pirotic, at my age, teeth don't grow again, you happy baby-tooth sporting git. -

Registered 17 years agoI have a dentist appointment to look forward to next week (not a check-up, but some proper work). I hope it won't be costly, plus I still don't like those weird instruments they use. -
Jeez, my favourite torture scene in the second link!*shudder*
I just knew you lot would be helpful!. Not. -

Did anyone ever hear about BumWars? There was a scene in that with a bum pulling out one of his teeth with pliars, the second most disturbing thing I've ever seen. -

Registered 17 years agoIf you wanna do teeth...
What made me go back to the Dentist, after a 15 year period of basically not giving a stuff was watching an episode of Ren and Stimpy.
Stimpy was being all good about cleaning his teeth and stuff, Ren was letting them slip...ren's teeth just rotted in his head, leaving only some stinky nerve endings behind. That whole episode was so sick-making (just because of the extreme close ups of Ren's gross teeth) that it just made me think "Nah, I don't wanna smile at my lady and have her see that looking back at her"
Spend the dosh on the dentist, not the games. You can always get games, you can't always get new teesh.

Registered 17 years agoSuddenly that Living Colour classic comes back to me...
"I'm standing at the altar as they play the wedding march..
I'm in a black tuxedo with my collar full of starch...
She looks as lovely as she's ever going to get...
I wake up from this nightmare in a pool of sweat..."
Good luck though eh!

Registered 17 years agoDamn, that's bad. Really bad. I mean... it's even less likely know that I'll be able to persuade you to buy a youknowwhat...
Btw, I never had a teeth related problem, to my dentist's despair - and she (very nice girl) does look for it... -

Registered 15 years agoI had a wisdom tooth removed last Tuesday (six days ago) and it's still hurting. The entire upper right region is throbbing. It's not swollen though so I don't think anythings wrong with it.
It's more as if the rest of the teeth realised they've got some extra room and now they're making a land grab.
Been eating painkillers like popcorn. -

Registered 7 years agoNo sympathy for you, just a loss of man points.
The worst thing about it I found is the feeling of there being this giant hole in my gum (which isn't actually that big).

Registered 9 years agoI found out they are supposed to close up the hole after I got an infection in there that required strong antibiotics. -

Registered 9 years agoI got one pulled by a 73 yo dentist, everyone said he was really good at his job and sure enough, he pulled that thing in less than a minute, but then just send me home. That’s when I got the infection.
A year later I had to have another one pulled, so went to the hospital to avoid problems, and they closed up the hole real nice. The problem there was it took a good 5 minutes to get that one out, and in the process he must have strained my jaw muscles, because a day later I could only get my teeth about half an inch apart, and that lasted for 2 weeks. Really strange, it didn’t hurt, just couldn’t open my mouth enough to eat. -
