Registered 16 years agoThose first few pages of the thread are pretty... yikes. I think lots of people expected stuff to come out after Saville died, but not the severity of it.
One of Saville's legacies is that whenever a celebrity who's done kids' TV or anything dies these days, you have the nervous two week wait to see if anybody comes out and says "yeah, he was a nonce". -

Registered 5 years agoOften it’s possible to split the bad and the good so it’s not a mutually exclusive thing (“he did good” and “he’s a shit” can coexist), but in Saville’s case a lot of his charity work was done to facilitate his abuse, which gives it an unavoidable taint. -
