@robthehermit itís why do you hate yourself by buying a windows phone :)

Joke! I loved my nokia that I had from work a few years back. Was a delight to have as a work phone, unlike my stupid iPhone.

I switched to Android from my trusty Lumia 930 a few months back. There's still a lot I miss from WP :(

Yeah, I'm clinging onto my 950XL. It doesn't do much these days, but if I'm honest all I really use it for is the occasional email, web browsing, youtube and taking the occasional picture of my dogs so it does everything I need.

Yeah, that's pretty much where I was. I'd have stuck with it if my 930 wasn't starting to fall apart (camera shutter button eventually came out, volume up stopped working, screen had some burn in, 3.5mm port was starting to go). Alternatively, I'd have stayed with WP if Microsoft would have released some new hardware - my 930 was pretty old at that point, and the 950 wasn't exactly new.

I basically do all the same stuff on my S8, except I'll occasionally try a mobile game for five minutes before remembering why I don't play mobile games.

Just downloading Super Lucky's Tale off Gamepass, and learn it has got an 'expansion'/bit o'DLC released today too.

Also very tempted to buy into Deep Rock Galactic but I can wait for full release. Speaking of which, Pit People tomorrow! \o/

@LittleSparra You need to play more Wildlands Ghost War. I'm half way between Prestige 1 and Prestige 2 :p

I've got too many games to play! Between Halo, Smite, Gears, Gigantic, Battlegrounds and Wildlands I've got more than enough online nonsense to keep my belly full, and then I've got a bunch of single player stuff too. Then Sea of Thieves and Pit People and others to come... Woe is me.

I've got 2 months of paternity leave coming up soon. Gonna be epic. (or no time and no sleep, we shall see :p)

    Hahaha.

Playing while they sleep may be possible once they are older, but I wouldn't hold any hope out for now.

You never know though, but I wouldn't build your hopes up- I was going to coat some new doors in our house with wax while I was off on paternity leave.

We paid a decorator to varnish them a few year later...

This looks potentially fun. 4 player coop shooter with PC/Xbox cross play, and mixer intergation (something about viewers being able to spawn aliens / health).

My first is due at the start of August - perhaps I'm just another unrealistic soon to be Dad but hoping to be able to play in the evenings.

If not, perhaps the Switch will save me!

I used to play Gears1 while the boy slept post-feed at stupid o'clock on weekend mornings to give the missus a break.

Not in the first few months though!

Time is irrelevant for a good while, there's no such thing as day or evening or night, just times when they are awake and times when they aren't!

    Yeah i am tempted...

In other news, Live is fucked so am playing Super Lucky. Nice little game actually. Hardly gonna set the world alight but enjoying it a fair bit.

Got the trial for Deeprock. It is really solid and has some great tone and co op features. Arghhh.

Been having a crack at Trials of the Blood Dragon. There's a fair bit of fun in there, and I'm quite enjoying myself. I can't see it having any staying power and I'll probably dip into it for the next couple of weeks and never touch it again after that but I'll be having a blast while I do.

I quite enjoyed Lucky. Was worthwhile playing through and didn't over stay its welcome.

Anyone picked up either of the Turok re-releases? If so any opinion yet?

@pelican_ haven't picked up the remaster, but from what I see, it looks pretty much like the original game aside from the graphics and framerate upgrade.

1 was okay, kind of boring after a while though, the large maps were very hit and miss. I never liked 2, didn't even get past the first level.

    Just seen this

ReCore Sequel Unlikely as Armature Staffs Up For Two New IPs

Armature, the studio behind Xbox console exclusive third-person adventure ReCore, is staffing up for a pair of new IPs, seeking a Gameplay Engineer, Graphics Engineer, Generalist Engineer and Game Designer to join its team in the US. The studio is also performing co-development duties on Epic Games' Fortnite.

What the new IPs are is unknown, but Armature tweets that one is "an original IP console project" while the other is "an original IP VR project". Obviously, this makes the possibility of us seeing a ReCore sequel highly unlikely, so you can forget seeing protagonist Joule again anytime soon.

    But new IP is interesting

State of Decay 2, May 22nd. Only $30, that's kind of worrying.

Hmm. First one was around that, but this is supposed to be much bigger (and I for one thought the game looked quite nice visually at E3).

First was from XBLA so the price was expected, it's puzzling here. At least it's IGN's First for March so we'll see a lot more of it soon (starting tomorrow).

Why would the price indicate quality?

One of the best and most technically accomplished games of last year was only £30 (Hellblade).

Hellblade was a short contained story, SoD2 is an open world game with 4(?) player co-op, it's just weird. Could be good though, the first one was great.
