    Actually I think I have played just past the opening when it came out on 360, I still own that and the xb1 version!

    @DUFFMAN5

    Next Far Cry setting?

    Fantasy RPG?

    It will probably be a Destiny/Anthem/Halo aping sci-fi setting.

    South American jungle?

    They've done tropical island (twice), Africa, prehistoric, Himalaya and US redneck.

    @MrFlay
    Good shout.

    I was hoping War of the Roses*, maybe AC will hit that next.

    *or UK, Wickerman type thing.

    I'd like them to go all Blood Dragon again and have some 80's vibe futuristic setting.

    I'll probably go for it. It's cheap as. Anyone played Kingdom come? I know that's a newer rpg on the market.

    Skyrim is great and well worth a play. Much better than FO4 was.

    Bow and sorcery was so much fun. Usual wooden voice actors though. And too few voices. I loved the fact the more you did stuff levelled your skills too.

    Never did finish the DLC stuff either sadly, i got it late on and was playing as the console generation crossover happened.

    That was brilliant. A sequel is often requested.

    Re KCD. I have it but again only played an hour. It really is hardcore. MrWonderstuff absolutely loved it though.

    It looks to be awesome once you "tame it" I think Skyrim will offer more fun though.

    Mass Effect: Andromeda is about 4 right now. It's not as bad as you've heard. The combat is actually much improved over the previous games and it has an Xbox One X upgrade now. Worth a shot if you like Mass Effect for that price.

    I know there are some that don't like Skyrim, but it's up there in my list of favourite games of all time. The story isn't all that, and the character models looked dated at release, but that world. It's absolutely captivating, and combines with the wonderful Jeremy Soule score to create an incredibly immersive atmosphere.

    I lost about three hundred hours of my life to that game, and I keep meaning to go back. It's just a great world to explore, diving into deep, dark caves hidden in the undergrowth and finding yourself stealthing through ancient ruins for an hour. And the first time I came across Solitude...

    Northern lights, swirling song and beautiful snowy mountains.

    Skyrim is a game for this time of the year too!
  • Deleted user 17 November 2018 19:12:05
    Nggghhh might have to buy it.

    @Vortex808 Ha, I was going to add "this is the perfect time of year to play it, too!" but somehow forgot :D

    I like Skyrim a lot but you really need to do the vampire dlc ASAP as you risk losing NPCs to vampire attacks on towns. No way to disable this without mods. For example, the blacksmith in Whiterun gets often gets killed.

    Right so to cleanse myself of my Fallout 76 disappointment I'll buy Skyrim and Spyro Reignited with the sale proceeds.

    I hope you won't regret it!

    I was going to start AC Oranges today, having finished Shadow of the Tomb Raider last night. But my import copy of World of Final Fantasy turned up this morning, so I started that instead. Take that, Phattso!

    @Ror noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

    Joke's on you - I just did a crossover mission in AC Oranges that awarded me a bunch of FFXIV themed armour. Ha!

    I got that (several months back) the good thing was I was totally unaware of it being a thing! Never read the initial stories detailing it.

    Talking of FF. I still have 15 to start. I have never played a FF and have no real interest in them, but was lead to believe this was more a stand alone action rpg ?

    Actually, the armour wasn't the best thing about that mission. It was the Chocobo mount that was the best surprise.

    Heh. That sounds ridiculous and amazing all at once.

    Duff, every mainline FF is a new story in a new world, with new characters. The only ones that are connected are direct sequels (FFX-2, FFXII Revenant Wings, FFXIII-2 and Lightning Returns). So you don't need to have done anything before playing XV (well, you could probably watch the Kingsglaive film, I suppose).

    What are people expecting from the next Xbox?

    Faster CPU, slightly faster GPU. 4k as standard. Probably not going to be 60fps as standard. Full backwards compatibility. Is forwards compatibility realistic? I think the leap over the One X will be fairly modest in comparison to previous generations.

    Gotta be a lot more CPU heft I'd have thought.

    I wonder if it'll be disc-free by default?

    And I'd expect some sort of support for Vive or Rift out of the box.

    There's a strong possibility they'll offer a version the new console without a disk drive. I also imagine the jump between generations will be incremental. Hopefully with better cpus we'll get a locked framerate with fewer dips.

    Some baked in Back Compatibility wizardry that enables 75% + of 360 games to be rendered at 4K and similar hardware level enchantments to a large swathe of the Xbox One catalogue (not sure if this is possible...but two years ago I didn't think 360 games @ 4K was possible either)

    I need Halo Infinite as a launch title with New generation graphics that side by side with the X version make me want to upgrade...eg 30fps on XB1/X and 60fps on Scarlet.

    New controllers with extra buttons on the underneath similar to the Elite pad.

    Other than that, just more of the same...but shinier!

    Enhancements to Xbox One games would be massive. Dark Souls 3, MGSV, GTAV.

    I miss the days when consoles launched with a proper AAA unit shifting exclusive. Be that Tetris, Mario World, Halo or Mario 64.

    I guess botw on Switch would count but it wasn't really exclusive. I know it would be economic suicide but I kinda hope Halo Infinity ends up next generation only. Would add so much for to the hardware launch hype, unboxing knowing there's no other way to play the game.
