It's a right palaver alright, my boy wanted some shite on Fortnite for £8, nagging for literally months when I eventually gave in so naively toppped up my account with a tenner thinking it would automatically be available to him as a 'family member' only to find I couldn't transfer it. I think I then just bought some credit on his account in the end so obviously it cost me £20 overall and now I have £10 credit sat on my account.

@monkman76 I have no idea to be honest, I wouldn't like to chance it with money (we were subbing to Realms in order to get him set up on the Switch) so I guess maybe try doing it first with some of the freebies and see what happens?

I don't really understand what's going on anymore. If I try to buy any 360 games (including the free Gold titles) on the Xbox One, it says "you cannot purchase this content on this device". If I try to buy them on the website, the transaction never completes. I have to use the damn 360.

Microsoft is looking to upgrade the One S server blades that xCloud uses with Series X server blades next year apparently. They're also looking at PC blades to stream pc games as well.

There is (yet again) a tasty sale on for Xbox games. Saw that Injustice 2: Legendary Edition was going for 75% off. Thought I'd go for that. But apparently this particular price is US only. Once upon a time it was possible to buy US Xbox gift cards from US Amazon, even if in UK. Allowing you to load it up on your Xbox account. If you then visited US Xbox site, you could but items from the American marketplace with your previously bought US currency. But they seem to have closed that loophole.

Does anybody have a clever way of getting Injustice 2 for $15 in UK?

SR2 is a good but old game (bet it looks rough now) what xbox is doing is making GwG worse, so when they kill it off, they don't get any complaints (infact you get will get people praising them for it)

SR2 is a great game, highlight of the series for me. I wished they had have remastered that and not 3. 3 is still fun though.

Juju is supposed to be actually quite decent (here's something surprising: it was made by the Hard Reset and Shadow Warrior devs).

It never got any attention because it was only released on last-gen platforms when the PS4 and X1 were already around. Should be worth a look at least.

Very much this and it's been shite for months now.
My Gold subscription runs out at the end of year and I'm not continuing but I suppose that's what they want and get you to buy Gamepass.

Hotshot Racing is available to XBox Insiders to playtest until Monday evening

4.5gb download - comes attached with a OTT set of non-disclosure requirements (eg don't leave your console unattended with the game running)
Was too tired to play it last night after going trough the initial screens, it's a Sumo racing gaming so looking forward to playing it properly today

I just bought Stardew Valley after getting hooked during the free weekend promo thing so I guess that works. Now I've started googling what the different community centre bundles and tool upgrades are, and I still haven't got the foggiest idea how to friend or romance people. Seems like quite the time sink.

@hedben2013 my wife and daughter are addicted to this game. My wife in particular sits playing with the wiki open on her phone so she can track where villagers are on a given day and give them the right gifts to improve friendship.

It's an excellent game but if you want to "complete" it, so to speak, it's incredibly involved. Like a tiny adorable version of a huge AAA RPG!

Anyone got the T Flight Hotas for xbox at all? Any thoughts?

After one at the moment and thought I might as well get one that would work on both my PC and xbox, if it was any good.

Depending on your desperation for hot stick action, and the cost, would it be better waiting to see what Series X compatibility looks like before taking the plunge? Presuming you intend to jump in Day One™️ of course.

I've recently grabbed the newest IL-2 Sturmovik and have been getting back into the sim of things for the first time in years, but the old xbox pad isnt really up to scratch.

I'd been looking at the T16000m but enjoy a bit of War Thunder and Elite on xbox, so thought I might be able to kill two birds with one stone with the Hotas One.

Summer Game Fest Demo Event Coming July 21 to an Xbox One Near You

"We’ll have more than 60 brand-new game demos for upcoming, unreleased Xbox games available to check out for free! Look for the special Game Fest Demo tile on the Xbox One Dashboard that week to find the collection of available demos

These are not normal “game demos.” Typically, the demos you see in our Demo channel are created after the game is completed (or nearly completed) and represent the final version. Many of these demos are early, and some are for games that won’t be out for quite some time. We’ve never done this before; what that means is that you’ll get to experience these games early – some way early – which is awesome, but you should also note that these games will continue to evolve and be polished as they near release. In other words, think of these as akin to “show floor demos” and not necessarily indicative of the final product. And speaking as somebody who has worked in the industry for a while – that’s not a bad thing! In fact, being able to check out games early and then see how they evolve is freakin’ awesome"!.

Plays surprisingly well - I've not reached the end game on my X yet, so don't know how well it plays a busy world, but the control set up is good.

It's on the xCloud beta (or was last time I checked) and it plays like a dream. My biggest issue was squinting at my phone when playing it.

Picked up the elite controller 2 cheap from someone selling on, bloody hell I don’t like it. It’s so slippy compared to the original elite which I’ve already sold .. oops.

I play a lot of PS4 with a Brook adapter and it’s like you’re never firmly holding this controller as the grip isn’t rubbery enough!

@Hiphopopotamus it’s weird because it DOES feel more slippery when you pick it up, but in use I find it grips better than the first Elite.

Don’t really get it, but I’ve got both Elites and never touch the 1 now (aside from when I need motion controls on PS4 using the wireless Brook adapter) as the paddles feel far too cumbersome now I’ve used the 2
