Registered 13 years agoSo... what's Knowing (2009) like? Gets panned on Rotten Tomatoes, but it's Alex Proyas (Dark City) and the Cage-meister - can it be that bad? -

Ironically, if I could see slightly into the future, I would have quickly been out of the cinema -

Registered 13 years agoAh never mind. We started watching Best of the Best instead. I'd forgotten how great Julia Roberts is in it. Chris Penn is also totally believable. -

Registered 20 years agoI can't believe you don't all already own this. Two of the greatest Sci-Fi films of the past ten years, and a copy of Knowing (which I actually enjoyed, to my surprise). -
I fucking hated Knowing. By the end I was praying for them to all just hurry up and die. -

Yeah, this. Great film, utterly shit ending. Sadly it's one of those ends that makes you want to punch everyone involved in the film. See also: Source Code.

Registered 13 years agoOk, finally watching Knowing. It's really not good. Cool plane crash though. Nick looks bewildered and tense, as if being given a colonoscopy by a blind man with scissors for hands. -
Me and the wife were pretty much begging for him and his wanky mates to JUST FUCKING DIE ALREADY by the end of that film. -

Registered 13 years agoWow. Conspiracy fantasy + disaster porn horror.
The saddest thing of all is that I know it's shit, and you've warned me it's rage-inducingly bad, yet here I sit, as the end nears. In shamalamadingdong paralysis. -

Registered 13 years agoWait, it's an Alex Proyas film? Dark City bloke? Did they have his balls in a vice the whole way through. This film is just painful.
edit: just read the top of the page. My memory is rubbish right now.

It's a good film! You're watching it all wrong.
Apart from the bit at the end, which is impossible to watch right. -

I hate how wobbly everything is on that CGI planet at the end. It's like they're living underwater or something. -
78 films in 31 years. Oh Nick, mate. I bet you can barely remember Birdy.
