I haven't seen it again but seems Rooney bought that one off the ref

Edit; he does scissor with studs but not sure

Jumped in 2 footed, studs up, silly challenge to make.

Not saying it was a red mind, but asking for trouble.

Not a red. I'd rather beat them with 11. FFS ref.

The feet were barely off the ground, slid in on his arse, stupid challenge to make though.

Slightly reckless challenge perhaps, but he got the ball! Baffling decision.

Both feet off the ground studs showing. Looked a good tackle but you'll always get sent off for that nowadays.

I think the ref will even this up first chance he gets.

Its the definition of 'ive seem them given', but considering that there were 80 minutes left to play, he maybe should have erred on the side of caution.

Didn't help with Utd team surrounding the ref.

    Nope

Edit* For the record I don't think Kompany's was a red, barely a yellow.

Aye, don't even know if he had blown the whistle beofre Rooney started shouting.

Pity City will only be missing him for one league game, cup games either side if I'm right.

kompany tackle wasn't even a foul

Yeah the refs ruined this game now. Utd are having to sit back and defend, even Rooney is on the edge of the area, all because they are down a man.

    Oh wait
