Was interesting watching the game in a blue household today (Hello Tom).

Wigan's first was against the run of play I thought, and then Everton pressed the self destruction button. Horrible back pass from Neville which McManaman buried and then Jordi Gomez curling one from the edge of the box. Mucha didn't have much of a say in any of the goals.

I just think that Wigan wanted it more, and knew how to snuff out Everton's threats and hit them on the counter. First semi final for the Latics, and they deserve it after that win.

On watching the first goal I think there was a serious issue with obstruction of the goal keeper. I'm sick of obstructing the goal keeper being the de facto tactic at corners for everyone now, it's so tedious and as I've said in the prem thread, the FA need to have a serious look at it as it's really irritating. If he wasn't obstructed he could well have saved the header.

Still think Steve Clarke is doing better/as good as Laudrup.

Just gone into 7th, 2 points off Everton. Although Everton do have a game in hand.
