Registered 17 years agoIt won't happen but a surprise release next week would be perfect. Friday pm off work, Mrs away all weekend, got fancy weed arriving and it's payday too.
PS4 release schedule in June is really bleak so I still think TLOU will come out this month. Then Diablo 3 in August, Destiny in September and then we're off. -

See.
Didn't someone tweet that this was out next week, saying that it was going to be a surprise at the end of the Sony conference? The tweet was removed, apparently. I kind of believe it. -

Registered 16 years agoI think I might double dip with this as well. I actually haven't got round to playing the DLC yet, so it will be a good opportunity. -

Registered 12 years agoBit disappointed it doesn't release sooner after the supposed rumours of it being instantly available after the E3 conference, but I've got plenty to keep me busy until then. Can't wait to try the story DLC for the first time and I've got a feeling this will become my multiplayer game of choice for the PS4 once it is out, which was criminally underrated if you ask me. -

I may double dip in a few years but possibly not.

Just started playing this on PS4 - it's very well realised and the prologue was quite quite affecting
However similiar to Uncharted it's held back with the terrible gameplay. If Naughty Dog ever learn how to give players decent controls and choice they will be the best around
The thing I hated about Uncharted 2 was the on rails, you will play it exactly how the developers want you to, feel
This is exactly the same, very scripted, very frustrating
Could be a 10/10 experience with 5/10 mechanics -

Registered 11 years agoThought the mechanics were at least an 8 personally. Sure, you are limited in your choices, but they were solid, satisfying and had a weight and punch to them. -

Registered 13 years agoMaybe coming straight from the mastery of Dark Souls where everything is so tight is the problem
I worry that it's going to be very repetitive too. Throw brick, sneak past, throw brick sneak past, repeat ad infinitum -

All wrong. You can play it on Normal as a straight up action/shooter.

Playing it on Survivor and you will find a way to get around most encounters without engaging any enemies.
Play it again after that and you tackle the game as a mixture of the two, really satisfying. -

I have this on the pile for my recently purchased PS4. I'm honestly in two minds as to whether I should bother or not. I fear the hype and almost universal love might've tainted it a bit much so I won't be able to experience what y'all experienced back when it first released.
No, that's stupid. I'll play it eventually. BUT I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO HATE IT.

Registered 12 years agoI'm usually about as much of a negative, miserable bastard as they come but this is one game that didn't disappoint. A fine game and a terrific experience, which really comes to life on the harder modes.
More than happy I double dipped for this on both the PS3 and PS4. The multiplayer really is a hidden gem too. -

i think the nuance of the last of us reveals itself about 1/3rd way into the game. the stealth feels clunky but you'll be ghosting entire tower-blocks soon enough. also, play on hard mode because that's what everyone told me to do, and it was great.

I own this on the PS3 and gave up. It looked nice, it was interesting, but I didn't find it all that much fun, say compared to the Uncharted series. Since I now own a PS4, I doubt i'll be booting up the PS3 to return to this any time soon.

Not the messiah of gaming some people would have you believe imo - it's simply a very good game. -

Registered 14 years agoI just finished this on PS4. The endless linear corridors and sense that I was a spectator to the game, tasked just with pressing a few buttons between cut scenes, did grate on me sometimes. But it was so beautiful and the story so strong that my final impression was very positive. -
