As in the subway bit with the spores and flooding? I don't think there's any enemies down there, you just have to find your way out. Youtube it. |

Registered 20 years ago@eightbitboy Well worth it. I found some of the dark and 'foggy' bits frustrating, but ... oh my ... you'll see. -

Registered 9 years agoThe bit I'll always remember from this game is the hotel basement. Fucking hell.
Oh, and the giraffes. That was nice.
I so want to play through the game again, but I think for me its better left as a one time experience.
A fucking amazing one though.
I can't picture this subway bit though. Is it early on? -

Registered 8 years agoI think it's right at the beginning when you're with Tess making your way to the capital building, right after you get out of the tall office building. -

Registered 12 years agoi'm taking it as the bit in 'downtown' when you're working your way through the building towards the orange line with the runners and clickers and you climb out at the end...
but yes, the first time i played the basement i bricked it....

Registered 8 years agoIf you still haven't found your way out, there is a ladder at the oppiste side of the area that you come through, you have to prop it up against a wall near to where you find it (at the top of the wall there will be black and yellow tape to catch your attention) -

Where was that? I loved the game but that escapes me. Clickers involved per chance?

when you work your way through the hotel basement and there's nothing there, flick the generator switch and the shit hits the fan - the first time i did it i remember running around panicking and completely lost my sense of direction...its actually very easy to get past as you just have to leg it past everything, but the sense of panic the first time makes it feel harder...
fuck, i love this game...those who have played both, is it worth picking up on ps4? -
@eightbitboy
Okay, I know the bit you're on about...
Keep to the left of the room (you'll encounter one Runner feasting on a body, you can sneak up on him and take him down quietly. The move to the top, then towards the left (basically in an inverted "L" direction).
It's pretty easy to move the Clickers on if you have a bottle or brick to throw. If you're going to use a molotov at all, keep it for the last Clicker near the ladder you have to pull down. -
@drhcnip
It was a revelation playing it on PS4, looks better than a lot of PS4 games if you ask me. You know that bit as you move through the flooded area in front of the Capitol Building where the framerate tanks into the low 20s? Going back through that at 60FPS was something else.
You also get all the DLC (including Left Behind), so it's more than worth the price of admission. -

Registered 8 years agoAlso of you can throw a bottle right into the middle of the room to attract all of the zombies, and then chuck a Molotov on top of them. Very easy way to clear out almost all of them. -
Odd bump, but it's a shame this the best money title on the ps4. It's fantastically built, but I might as well be playing snatcher.
Naighty dog are almost making a 15 hour rebel assaults now.
Valve and others showed how the make an adventure shooter years ago, why is this shit the norm? Heck, why is it rated? It's has one of the best openings I've ever played, but I'm playing a game of positioning ladders and throwing bottles, with a cutscenes every 5 minutes! People want his shit?
It's efficient, polished and carefully built - like 7th guest and wing commander 3! -

Registered 9 years agoWorth it on PS4. If you haven't played it since launch, run through it again. There's a lot of smaller stuff you'll pick up on the second time through, and the graphical improvements (frame rate, 1080p, textures, other pretties) refines it nicely. -

Yeah you fall down into a flooded area. Then you end up working your way through seeing stalkers ahead of you. Really fucking tense.

I went through it again on ps4, if you enjoyed it on ps3 then YES. Overall played several times and loved each one.
Also the mp is very addictive

Yeah multiplayer on this is really underrated.
Great on Ps4 with the silky framerate too. -

Edit: and multiplayer was indeed great. If this end up on ps+ i'll be playing that again.

I'm kind of stalled somewhere halfway on the PS4 version I picked up cheap. Feel that I need to finish it a second time before I do the Dlc chapter. -
Yeah the dlc has a major spoiler right at the start, not sure if it's still there on the stand alone release but it probably is as half the dlc is based on that spoiler.
