http://postimg.org/image/4rrg55s3v/ I'm playing the game fine but the file size is iffy. I'm able to play multi and the dlc. Sometimes, it'll just say the download status is completed but I've notice when playing the main game, there's pop in and I'm sure it's because of that. Anyone an idea on how to fix? Please don't say Redownload, it's 44gig! Edited by pacrifice at 07:47:28 14-02-2016 |

I need to find a better free pic upload site. Those adverts are just wrong. -
How much pop in? Like a crate being slightly late to the party or half the city materialising before your eyes?
I don't recall any pop in on either the PS3 or PS4 version. -
@FuzzyDuck in the distance, like a tree or something appearing and that's the thing! When I had the disc version installed with full dlc, I clocked and didn't find anything. And now (ditched the disc) and downloaded digital, I get that pop in, in the distance and that weird file size when I'm play the game.
When I'm not running the game, it just shows 46gig and complete.
I'm near the end of another play through so hopefully, the last chapter and credits/the game is intact. -
@pacrifice
Actually, I think the difference in size is the initial download you need to start the game. So you download the first 8Gb, it lets you start the game, then it has to download the remaining 36Gb and displays its status as such.
THinking back on it, I may have noticed the occasional, small amount of pop in like that during multiplayer (although it was a slow, fade in as opposed to an aggressive "here's your tree!"). I was thinking of the Nathan Drake Collection that had zero pop in. -
I'm gonna que up a download on the desktop site and see how ps4 reacts what with it already installed. Maybe it'll detect some missing data and install it. I remember choosing single play download first but I've checked multi, a map loaded fine.
/Sigh I'm so not gonna re-download
Surprisingly, after fallout 4, bloodbourne, witcher 3, it's evil within that's 60gig which takes the most space! -
Without being able to see it, it all sounds okay to me. -

Registered 9 years agoI'm playing this for the very first time I've been saving it, wow it's scary, the outdoors scenery is amazing though, I love the interaction between Joel and Ellie, when she tries to learn to whistle I laughed, this is how you make a game fuckers.
I'm stuck on a scene where there's a booby trap and you get snagged upside down, I just can't kill the bloody fifth clicker, it's doing my head in. -

Don't hold L2 whilst aiming. Point in the vague direction of your enemy, then aim. It'll snap to their head for an easy shot. -

Registered 9 years agoJust finished left behind. Short but top quality. Really top notch DLC. But then I'd expect nothing less from ND. Riley was a little annoying though.
Got to decide whether to finish a second run of the main game. I'm about a third of the way through I think but I just don't have much time these days so I may just leave it and have my memories from the amazing first run.gif)
Edit: Just played a little. Now I want to carry on. Nearing the end of Pittsburgh so I guess I'm about halfway in.

I have played through the game twice on the ps3 and pottered through left behind on a friend's ps4. Igot a ps4 recently and I noticed that the whole thing is on psn forabout 25 quid. Is the graphical and frame rate increase worth it over the ps3 version? -
That sounds good to me. Cheers. -

Registered 9 years agoCorrect. I don't know if it's a rock solid 60fps at all times but it is super quick.
Somehow feels more cinematic locked at 30 though, visually I prefer that. Maybe. -

Registered 6 years ago30 looks horrendous after you play it at 60. On the disk is the making of and it shows you direct comparisons and the ps3 version is horrible. -

Registered 9 years agoGameplay wise, yeah. All I'm saying is it feels more cinematic to me at 30. The option is there for a reason, surely.
It's like the difference between watching Goodfellas with Auto Motion Plus maxed out on a modern TV so it looks like an episode of Home & Away or some shit, in my opinion.
'm not saying 30>60 flat out. -

Registered 9 years agoThought I'd play through this tonight and earn the max out all weapons trophy; but I've missed the ruddy Shorty when you enter the sewers like the baked fool I am.
Does anyone know if it'll turn up later in the game? -

Registered 9 years agoJust done the sewers and up to the radio tower. This game man.
Is anyone else really shit at stealth? I can normally get 1 or 2 if I'm lucky but most encounters end in a shoot fest. -

Pretty sure this applies to all (well the ones that effort was putted in) PS4 enhanced versions of PS3 games, regardless of framerate. Can't imagine for people going back to GTA5 on PS3 after playing it on PS4. Both GTA5 and The Last of Us were pretty much visual spectacles back then in 2013.

@drhcnip
Yeah, it's why I couldn't play on anything over normal difficulty. I need my supplies!
It is a cracking game. Glad i decided to carry on with my second run.
