I was looking at those £60 52x52cm frames. I'm 99% sure they just use the RIBBA frames from IKEA, which cost £10.

I've now bought 10 of the official lego minifig display cases, which at £25 for every 16 minifigs ain't cheap. I see a trip to IKEA in the not too distant future...

I kind of want Voltron, but it wasn't one of my favourites as a kid.

Gotta say, I saw it in a lego store and it took a lot to resist it. It looks cool!

Lego and robots go hand in hand :)

Was tempted by that too but there is a lot of repetition to the build and a lot of stickers.

    End result looks good though.

Lego build a life sized Bugatti Chiron which actually works!

I got to go and have a peek at the Lego Chiron back in June. When I walked into the room to see the real thing and the Lego one next to each other I did a double take Ė I was expecting it to be a blocky vague representation. It's so clever how it was made, using Lego screwdrivers to suck the skin down onto the body to do the curves. Chatting to the guys who made it I was struck by how they didn't really think it was possible to start with. And then they made it without gluing any pieces togetherÖ bonkers!

    Hello people!

Sorry, didn't mean to worry anyone. Just been a shed load of stuff going on over the past 6 months. Work's been a bit crap, my Aunt's dementia is getting worse and that's taking up a fair bit of my spare time, and it didn't help that EG got blacklisted by the corporate firewall back in March, so I just haven't been around these parts much.

Health is (touch wood) all good - three +ve bloodtests down so far, and if I can shift a few stone I might be able to come off the diabetes tablets.

Lego-wise, the Falcon still has pride of place in the living room, but I have strict instructions to have it broken up in time for sorting out Christmas decs. Just as well, because I can really only have one set on display at a time, so as soon as that's boxed up, I can build something else.

Unfortunately, have been sucked into the world of Modular buildings. Have got seven of them, but can't justify the crazy money for the older ones.

However, had a bit of a reality check when I put the last few sets in the loft. There's no more room up there, and 95% of them are still sealed, so it seems mad to keep buying stuff 'because I'll build it at some point'.

I've got two more sets to pick up to complete the 2018 Technic range, and I'm seriously thinking about just going cold turkey from then on. Maybe even selling some of the stuff that I've got.

Then again, we're going to move to a bigger house at some point...

@boo Hey fella, Long time no see! Glad to hear you're doing OK (as well as can be expected I guess) , was wondering what was going on with you.

Crazy that your attic is full of lego, though hardly surprising I guess. I think selling the stuff you have is OK - as long as its to help fund the stuff you want to collect! ;) It seems that's how a lot of fans fund this hobby.

Don't leave it so long next time, even if its just to post to say hi or to even if you want to have a bit of a rant if stuff is on your mind.

Oh, and never stop buying lego! Stop that nonsense right now! :)

It'll be interesting to see the longevity of the plant bricks. Some of my early Lego has discoloured a lot and some bricks don't grip as well as they once did.

Hope these plant-bricks don't suffer from the same problem in 30 years time.

Cool. I looked at buying the 2008 wind turbine on ebay for some highly inflated price a few years ago. Might have to get this one.

Having cleaned out Walmart of each SW set that they stock Iím working my way through the Friebds sets.

Darling they are too, with the plus side of placing heavy emphasis on buildings. We building a town. All they need to do is introduce trains.

Has anyone been collecting the Sainsbury's Lego cards this year (Incredible Inventions)? Just wanted to ask if anyone has spares looking to swap.

Wierdly, I'm not. I've got the other Volvo sets, but this just seems really expensive, and not that great...
