    @IMadeThis thanks mate I didn't see this response at the time but some were great - the naboo Starfighter was my favourite!

    Mrs mickerty got us the Lego VW camper van for Christmas :) a nice change as we have been exclusively Star wars for a few years. Has anyone built this one and/or would you recommend these - LIGHTAILING Light Set For (Creator Series Volkswagen T1 Camper Van) Building Blocks Model - Led Light kit Compatible With Lego 10220(NOT Included The Model) https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07DCRZTHC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_BkjjCb1KBJGCZ ?

    Hope you all got a nice Xmas Lego set ;)

    We have the camper my favourite build I think, really enjoyable to build, some really nice features and takes pride of place on the shelf. Not bothered with the lights.

    Only a tiny Lego set for me this Christmas ;_;

    But my boys got quite a few Star Wars sets, and we bought my youngest the Boost thing, but haven't tried it out yet

    I was in the Brickset Secret Santa, and got the 42092 Technic Rescue Helicopter.
    Need to spend a bit of time dismantling the Falcon so I can start building some new stuff. No spare space at the mo.

    Not a huge fan of technic but it looks like a good present, especially off a random Internet person, so I'd consider that a win. What did you send yours?

    Just want to say I love the lego dragonball and street fighter guys I got from my secret Santa. They go well with my lego trump, wall and Mexican I got the previous year.

    You guys are dragging me in, slowly but surely!

    You had the option of sending a 'I would like...' list. I said 'Anything's fine', and my Santee clearly took a look at my collection and thought 'Technic'.

    My target had provided a list, so I picked him up a Speed Champions set and a Wizarding world set.

    Mixed results across the board, but by and large people seemed to be happy with the results.

    Family time in Hong Kong means I was able to grab both the new Asia only Chinese New Year sets this morning. They’re beautiful. Almost worth my having to queue up at 07:00...

    The family dinner is especially nice. I wasn’t going to get the dragon dancing set but thought ahhhh fuck it, as I was queuing for almost four hours for the thing.

    2/3 of the way through the Lego city police station with my eldest.

    Man it’s cool. Reminds me of when my parents bought me the Lego airport when I was a kid. Hmmmm wonder if they still have it pretty sure I said they could give it away doh.

    Also you start with a complete model and gradually take pieces off it.

    Just finished the Saturn V rocket. First Lego ever.

    What a brilliant model. And massive !

    I fancy a space shuttle next. Or maybe one of those big technics sets. There is the Unimog, a big crane thingy and a Buggati.

    They all seem very expensive though or out of stock.

    Had a bit of an accident with Slave 1. Somehow managed to fall off a shelf. We've pieced it together as the shell was mostly intact, but there were loads of parts that smashed off. Now there's about 10-11 pieces left that I've no idea what to do with. Thinking about boxing it up and building the snowspeeder that's been in the loft since it's release.

    @Dirt3 You're a bit late to the party for some of those sets, you might need to look at 'in print' stuff, otherwise you'll be paying a huge mark up.

    Made Voltron over the holidays. Amazing set. I just keep looking at it every time I walk past it.

    Brought the cargo train out today for the kids to play with. Got tempted to buy a second train because that would be so awesome.

    But then I saw that Lego had changed the remotes yet again...

    @Tonka

    Ah. I have the high speed passenger train and the cargo train on a track running around my man cave. Both work from the same remote. Is amazing :-)

    @THFourteen awesome! That's what I wanted. But now there are separate remote systems.

    @ZuluHero

    Ta for the info.

    I think I will go for the bucket excavator next, which is both cheap and massive. I see that it is probably best to go for sets that are close to retiring now, the Bugatti can wait. I see the Porsche is on retirement on the store, so will probably get that before the Bugatti, which can wait a while.

    The bucket wheel excavator always looked cool just sadly out of budget for me. My son would love it but he keeps wanting other sets more.

    Can you play Lego with me daddy?

    Awesome what shall we build!

    Oh wait you mean you want me to crawl around on my hands and knees for an hour with the police car while you have the baddy. Urgh.

    The train set is now a post apocalyptic zombie hunter train. Complete with a container full of food for the zombie hunters and a lift arm that can collect zombies... and warewolves and that Frankenstein rocker Minifigure.
