I'm being forced to go to Lego Land in Denmark over the Easter bank holiday, but don't really have much interest in Lego.

    Do they have a bar?

Seeing as it's Denmark they probably serve beer. Maybe even Gammeldansk if you're lucky.

Just back from weekend at LegoLand, UK - 4th time (probably last now) and they do serve beer. Sure Denmark will be the same.

Has anyone bought one of those lighting kits for Lego models?

I've just built the camper van and fancy using it as a side light.

Amazon are really expensive so looking for a reliable eBay seller of them.

I bought a lighting kit for my Lego modular buildings from ebay. In the photos it looked like a nice warm homely light coming from inside the building but in reality the LEDS were far too bright and dominating. So all you saw were squares of bright white/blue light. Those were the LED strip lights that are built in to a lego compatible brick. Are they the ones you mean?

    Ah, sounds like it, yes.

    Essentially this, but ideally cheaper:

Those look like the ones I got, but different packaging. All I'll say is that those images have probably been in photoshop or lightroom for for a bit, because in a dark room you wouldn't be able to make out any of the exterior colour of the model.

I wish this site had an easy way to share photos. Recently moved and came across my brochure for Legoland from like 82

Also got pictures to share from my current job.

I’m an ‘inventory specialist’ at a top ten reseller on Bricklink. The amount of Lego that goes through my hands these days...

I picked up a pack of official brick stickers yesterday and can report that they're awesome.

According to the article "Most fans detest stickers on sets" - is this true? I love putting stickers on.

    Yeah, they suck.

They kinda make sense like this for the City theme though.

Never put stickers on myself - but this is mostly because I end up free-building so much.

So the word on the street is that the Chinese authorities have finally busted Lepin and halted factory production of fake Lego sets. I think it's more due to them being run by a criminal gang than any copyright infringement issues.

I quickly visited Aliexpress to order a Lepin set of the first Lego modular (Cafe Corner) as the Lego original costs £800 plus. This is the message I got from the seller after paying:

    Isabella Ye: hi,
    thanks for ordering,
your parcel will be shipped if it's in stock,
we will contact you in the first time if it's unavailable unluckily, you could extend the delivery time or change another models, thank you for your understanding.

So God knows what that means. I guess I'll have to wait a few weeks and see if anything arrives. Fingers crossed!

Lego has moved part of their production to China, that probably helps in getting the government to do something.

I'm in China atm and bought a local miniature Lego-ish set for the eldest son. It's supposed to be a Doraemon figure.

Supposed, I say, because the instructions are so rubbish it took him and me five hours to arrive at the conclusion that we've either made a critical error early in the build, or the are parts missing.

I consoled myself by ordering some LOZ sets instead.
