My eldest put together half the Death Star Final Duel today (with a little help, i'd say it was about 85/15%)

He then proceeded to play with it all afternoon. Play. With. It. Like a toy.

    shudder

I like the idea of the JP set but the t-rex is all clunky and a bit crappy.
I prefer the IDEAS set it's based on.
    ;)

    I'm totally jealous though!

    Ha!
Yeah, itís grown on me the more Iíve read about it. I still donít like the upper jaw shape but the scale and display is cool. And the gate is dope.

Itíll also look nice next to the Upside Down on my shelf at work.

Wasn't there a rather nice rendition of the Jurassic World Jeep (like the original but in blue gray) a few years back? Maybe download that instrctuoion and buy a bunch of green/yellow/red bricks from bricklink.

My 9yo is still working on the Destinys Bounty. My gods it's gorgeous. I'd love to see a side by side comparison with the good old pirate ship

Ha ha. My wee guy has got the AT-M6, Kylo Rens Tie Fighter, a fucking star destroyer, the Crait set with skimmer thing and a few other things his shelves and I keep telling him to play with it. I must be mad. As when he does he loses bits and I go mental and tell him to put it back on his shelf. Then I tell him to play with it again. Repeat ad infinitum.

I love lego but it still and always will confuse me.

    @ZuluHero
Built the rex on the first night. It's pretty cool and looks better in brick than photos. My niggles are the upper jaw shape, the use of two orange bricks in the legs that should be light grey, and that the head joint isn't really posable side-to-side. It's a really unique official model though, considering it's organic nature.

I'm still building the gate, hoping to have that done tonight. I crashed early last night and didn't do anything.
I'll upload a pic of my work shelf once I can figure out my imgur login.

I imagine there would be some quite interesting building techniques to get those shapes?

I'd love to see a picture, put something in shot to get scale! :)

Is this Slave I set likely to be worth anything in a few years time?

Part of me thought no, as they'll do another Bounty Hunter Slave I again, but then again it's in the 20th Anniversary box...

@Derblington In terms of cost per piece it is a relatively good value lego set.

Quite a few good figures in this series, and some pretty easy ones to feel out too! :)

    Hmm - 4x4 X-treme Off-Roader looks a bit disappointing - not many bricks and expensive at £200 :(
