Sainsbury, my local big store anyway, has a decent sale on some of its sets.
I got the Speed Champions Mclaren Senna for £6.30 and they have a weird 2 sets for £15 on the Fiesta ie 2 Fiestas for £15 which is a bit odd. They also have it for £9 or so.

So I have a ton of white Lego, courtesy of having a bought a few Lego Studio sets over the years, anyway for a good while we displayed some Lego words (about 10" high) in our bay window at the front of the house, roll on 6 months or so and it's a nice yellow colour, having had a Google it seems soaking in hydrogen peroxide may get it back to white, think I'll need about £15 worth to be able to do it in one go, anyone else cleaned/restored Lego with this stuff? Think I'll have to give it a whirl, it can't be used with the rest of my white bricks it's horrible, it will end up being merged with the kids bricks so I would have to replace it which will cost a helluva lot more than £15.

Can’t help with the question but I’m intrigued what words you had. “Get off my land”

I think it was just one word come to think about it 'JOY' twas Mrs Mercury's doing as part of her Christmas window shenanigans. But she liked the word so much she insisted on it staying in the window well into the year, hence the sun bleaching it.

    Speaking of white LEGO.

At TATE modern in London (I'm assuming everyone on here lives in London btw) they have this art thing where it's just tons of white LEGO on two big tables. Then you build stuff. It's a lot of fun.

Why have you got "it's" in front of your username?

It opens at 10:00. Take them to the Lego, home for lunch, back to the pub for 14:00!! 😄

(I've heard it'll take about 90 mins - 2 hrs to walk round).

I'm going at 10:00 before the crush happens.

Let us know how it goes, I've been tempted a few times myself but always chickened out!

Well I was going to order the Assembly Square modular as it's chronologically the next in the series of modulars for me (and the oldest still available) but then I saw John Lewis were selling the Corner Garage modular at the 20% off, so just ordered that instead. So instead of buying the next to retire I've got the most recent set instead. Still, I think it's a much nicer set TBH.

Argos have the Ninjago Bounty at half price, also the cheaper of the Porsche 911 sets.

    I've just grabbed both ;)

Well spotted. Grabbed the Porsche. I see the Bugatti is also reduced by 25% to £225, but that's still too expensive for me...

Did you peroxide your lego yet? It works really well, I have used it on a horrendously yellowed vintage star wars figure and it came out lovely and white

Yeah, so you can beat the queues. It's standard practice. Comicon and many others do the same.

I've got it going today and giving it a stir every hour or so, so far I think there is good progress so far but pretty hard to tell for sure in this bright sunshine, will keep it going till later on.

It's still soaking, it's really hard to tell in the sunlight, at least some of the flat tiles are still a bit yellow, I'll fish out a random selection of bricks/flats tommorow morning and gauge how effective the process has been, certainly anything not a bright white will not be making it back into my studio collection, they'll be heading for the kids lot so I may aswell keep them soaking until there's no more improvement .....
