I'm more interested in the Money Kid sets. Just the logo so far, but it's full of promise. |

Bit out of the box for Lego, but I guess the Hidden Side Lego stuff was a step in that direction. -

Always wanted the Pirate Ship as a kid, so this is a definite buy for me!
I like the idea that the Black Barracuda still exists and has been re-purposed as a pirate hideout. -

Pirate Lego was my thing when I was young. I had some great sets for birthdays and loved it all. -

Registered 14 years agoI had the Governors Fort, but never any pirate ship to attack it, so they always had to steal the gold at night using a rowing boat -

I guess the build would be challenging, but come on! I would have loved to play with this when I was a kid! (Actually, I would still love to play with this now)

Registered 17 years ago@SnackPlissken I got that set for my birthday one year!
Fucking brilliant. That was the biggest one I got. Looking thought the set lists though there were some fantastic 'not too big' sets. Just well designed and thought out.
Same with the Knights lego that I never had any of - looking now it just looks fantastic -

So can you build the ship and then transform it to the shipwrecked one or are there 2 ships?

This set includes an island that can be split in half and rearranged. The shipwreck can also be dismantled and reassembled to make a ship inspired by the Black Seas Barracuda pirate ship LEGO model from 1989.

Thanks, that’s cool. As a kid I’d totally imagine the pirates rebuilding the ship and getting off the island.

Registered 16 years agoFinally finished the Bugatti this evening.
To be honest, I don't think it looks as good as the Porsche, although I love the two-tone blue. I think the curved shape of the car has proven too much of a challenge for Lego, so there are a few gaps between the panels and some sections look odd up close.
My other gripe is that the amazing W16 engine and sequential gearbox are all hidden away beneath the bodywork, which is a real shame. -

Registered 14 years ago@Flying_Pig They need to do something similar with a classic space set. I know they did Benny's space ship a few years ago, but I mean like a reimagining of an old space station with tons of detail and modern building techniques. There's some great Space theme MOCs, just none have made it to Ideas production yet. -

Lego leaning heavily on the nostalgia factor for the new Pirates set. I just need a child that will spend £180 on a present for me... -
