It's one of those where you go.. I never had it as a kid so I have to get it. Although if I lived by those rules I'd own a Tracy Island by now.

It's my son's birthday in 6 weeks and he's after another chunky set to build. Any good deals out there on star wars/Ninjago/Minecraft or HP sets? Not the best time, admittedly...
After he said he wants another model like his (Mega Blocks) Minion, I went for the Boba Fett preorder. Fingers crossed it's what he's after. All a bit weird this year for him, no party etc and no real obvious 'main' present.

The helmet model? Saw them, look good. Donít like the stormtrooper one sadly as itís too shadowy. Boba and the Tie pilot look good though

Yeah. Wasn't fussed by the others but we're watching The Mandalorian together so know he'll be all over Boba.

So did anyone else manage to pre-order the Lego Super Mario set from the Lego.com website?

It certainly is a pricey set at £49.99 for 231 pieces but there's quite a lot of tech gone into that Mario figure.

The pre-order bonus from Lego.com made it worth the while to stomach the price IMO.

Finally started the Flintstones set today - a fun, if simple build so far.

So I need help from the parents out there.

I've finally admitted defeat with the second child on the way, that all my lego needs to be stored away till such time that either my kids will want to build the sets with me. Or lucky enough to get a bigger house where I can have my own man cave back.

    Anyone else done something similar?

I'm thinking the only real way to do it would be to slowly take them all apart and put in separate boxes with instructions. Would make for some fun rebuilds in the future as the numbered bags wouldn't apply.

    Any tips help/ideas appreciated

I broadly did the same thing, albeit for different reasons. I broke down the sets and put them in zip-lock bags with the set number on. All of the instructions are in one of those A4 'Really Useful' boxes to keep them in good condition.

The bags are currently sitting in a couple of storage crates in the garage until such time I have the space (and free time) to get them out again...

Yeah just dismantle them and stick all the pieces in a bag.

I never follow the numbered bags thing anyway, Whenever I build a set, I always open all the bags and tip them into a massive pile! More fun! :)

I was thinking of buying storage boxes that are big enough to keep them intact but this isnt going to be possible.

Just gonna have to take my time and dismantle it all. My heart is breaking!

I work through instructions backwards and re-bag into labelled zip-locs.

@Ignatius_Cheese Yep, Iíve ordered it. Itís kinda expensive but itís a nice novelty, and should sell for close to what I bought it for if I decide to sell afterwards.

Was eyeing up the Batmobile recently, but I think I'm going to have to get this one instead. Seems a bit overpriced, though.

The lockdown has been good for progressing my city layout - the first street is almost done. More kits coming this week (hopefully), but I have to say it's more expensive than a drinking habit!

So, any thoughts on the new Lego Ducati?

It looks better than the usual Technic bikes, plus I have a soft-spot for anything Ducati :)

I keep waiting for the Monkey Kid sets. Then I read the Names and it seems like they've gone Ninjago and done a bunch of vehicles and mechs and shit.

@Red_Bool Looks good - and I like how it looks less Technic-y than other builds, though I'd rather have the bike from Akira :p

    Anyone have a 3D printer?

The way he puts his kart together made me laugh out loud (it's all Lego parts, but then huge :D)

I actually have the Arvo Brothers instruction manual for Kaneda's bike - came with a sticker sheet as well.

    https://arvobrothers.com/books/kanedas-bike/

Still haven't got round to Bricklinking the parts to build it, mind. I think that could be a project for the summer! :)

I thought the red dishes for the wheels were crazy monies, essentially making it unbuildable now?
