I have that one in storage, waiting till I move house before starting it.

I love trains though! Especially Steam Trains.
Always gutted I missed the Emerald Night.

Now, the main battle mech in my set looks good so far. A little too iron man tbh. That will disappear (thankfully) once the head and vinyl pieces are attached.
I first thought it was ironman when I saw a partial build. Looks good though, is it finished now?

Yes. Looks great, bit it's fragile as hell and write wobbly. Can't see how a kid could pay with it without breaking it to pieces within three minutes.

    Pretty on the shelf though.

Finished the Dodge last night, for technic I love it.
Love the pistons and drive chain in the engine that moves when you push it. Loads of playable parts, even though it's not a toy! ;)

    Dodge Charger finished: https://imgur.com/a/Lg5n6FX

Not entirely sure its converted me to technic, I think it's a one off rather than the start of something, but as a display piece I think it's great.

@ZuluHero The Chiron is a dam fine looking car in technic and the even the box for it is a work of art on the inside.

I'm currently (re)building the technic 42039 Le mans racer of my son (he's more interested in Fortnite nowadays), while I'm waiting for the Ducati to become available. Such a lovely set and there's tons of C-models to be found. The best one so far that we built together was a lawnmower (!)

Actually, I might get the Ducati too.

    Oh no, it's starting isn't it? :)

The Ducati is also a lovely display piece ;)
I already reserved a spot on my work-from-home desk.

I've started mine today. Currently about 350 steps in, and on box 2.

I'm already liking it more than the GT3, even though I like the real car less. It's honestly won me over... Very impressed so far.

the engine... what a beast! 16 cylinders... and it worked first time too.

I want it finished before the Ducati and Lambo are available.

Yeah - the W16 in the Chiron is epic. The finished model looks decent - especially the 2-tone blue.

I think I prefer the look of the Porsche though.

Itís a cool train but the whole set is very prone to having bits fall off

Almost completed the Hidden Side train. It even comes with some track, unlike HP set. This means I now have all HS retails sets. Iím drooling over a few of the 2020 sets. Iíll get them all but two of them, the roadster and fire engine, are incredible sets in their own regard.

Well I just had a savage setback with the Bugatti that took over an hour to resolve. A section (front differential) was installed upside-down, but went unnoticed until I had to link the front chassis to the mid-section.

The nature of these sets is there's a number of locking pins, and other 'locks' that really do not let you easily undo things, so I had to undo a lot of the front suspension, steering, and front drive to get back into the differential and flip it over.

Lots of agro but it's done now. My wife said to look at it positively and that I'm getting extra value from that £300 set... I gave her a scowl but think she has a point.

I was until then, 'flying' through it.

I stopped at the shiftier system, which is just a genius design... Just brilliant! I thin it ends up in a very inaccessible place eventually, but for now, I can't help but marvel at it.

I'm actually tempted to buy the hidden side train just for parts to build my own trains :)

The thing I don't get is it'll be available from July 1 in shops, and in Aug online.

But the shops are closed, so how does this work?

    @Carlo www.brickshop.nl / www.brickshop.eu (a Dutch Lego shop)

I don't know their regular shipping rates, but due to COVID-19 (according to their website) their current rates are quite steep outside the Netherlands.

Thanks mate. Yep, even with the discount and conversion, Ä15 for shipping is a little too steep.

I'll see when a UK retailer starts taking orders. I don't think this'll sell out :S

I love lambos, so it is a tough one.

What do people reckon the price bottom for this will be, £250 ?

Hmm, I think I'll go for that. I still haven't got the Bugatti but the lime green Lambo will look lovely with the bright orange Porsche.

For that price I dont like the colour enough.. I'd consider nearer 200 quid, which it probably will end up in an Argos offer eventually!
