I'm a bit disappointed with that lambo technic model.

I can see a lot of stuff in there lifted straight from the Chiron model to the point to me it looks like the main difference is just the body work and the V12 instead of the W16 in the back.

Shame really, also it doesn't look as good as the Chiron.

I wish they'd chosen an older more recognisable Lamborghini model but I guess the manufacturers always want them to show off their latest and greatest.

Not liking the Lambo much and that rear view, there are so many round bits and studs poking out you can't tell which ones the exhausts are.

I never thought I'd say this but...that is one ugly Lambo and the Chiron looks so much better.

The only thing better on the lambo is they've made the sequential gearbox visible so you can see it working.

I hope they improve the gearing, as the big negative of the Bugatti over the Porsche is the amount of movement you need to place on the wheels before the gears eventually move the pistons in the engine.

nothing like that on the Porsche.

I like the color, I'm 'OK' with the car they chose, and I had hoped to see the cost remain at £300. I too will be waiting for an offer on the cost rather than have this on day 1.

EDIT: I just noticed it features a VISIBLE gearbox...
Didn't like the fact that I'd built the other two, and all the intricate parts were hidden away from view. I'm seeing that as a real positive with this model.

Looking at Pricespy, the Buggati started at 350 and was available for 250 within 4 months of release, with a price low of about 200.

Don't really like the Lambo either, don't like the colour or the detailing.

Not to worry - 350 quid will buy a lot of other lego ;)

I really don't like the look of it, I've seen it from every angle and the I maintain the Chiron is better looking then it...in lego model form anyway.

That rear on the lego Lambo is utterly awful.

I found this article about the Lego Mario collaboration interesting

    https://www.gamesindustry.biz/articles/2020-05-25-why-it-took-five-years-to-build-lego-super-mario

I really like how the Mario figure looks, but I find the general game play a bit hard to imagine how it will work.

Still hoping this collaboration will lead to proper Legend of Zelda sets.

I dunno - parts of it look good and I really like the colour. But, yeah, some bits just look odd...

It's the gaps in the chassis and the curved rods and things to fill them to try and get the shape that makes it look odd.

I'm pretty new to technic, but I don't think some of them are typical pieces.

They're all pieces they've used before, and I can see lots of reused construction methods from the Chiron as well.

The wheels are a new design the colour of some of the parts are new and being able to see the gearbox working is a nice touch and fixes a criticism of the the Porsche and the Chiron.

I'm just disappointed, I was expecting something more than that and what it looks like to me is a Chiron with a new shell on it and an exposed gearbox.

Halfway through the Ducati now. It's amazing how they managed to fit a 4 cylinder engine and a 2-speed gearbox into such a small space! The only minor niggle I have is that one part of the transmission is via a rubber band. I understand why, because of the limited space you would not be able to fit any gears there, but still.

A really enjoyable build so far and a masterclass in compact creations.

Finished the new UCS Star Destroyer just now. Having rebuilt my 2002 original Star Destroyer at the start of lockdown, building techniques and greater variety of lego pieces have made the newer build a much easier and quicker task.

Taking a break now to make room to show it off and then finally start the UCS Falcon.

That LEGO Technic Land Rover Defender looks pretty sweet. Fucking expensive ornament, though.

I wish the lego kits for 'normal' stuff shared a similar scal - I builtthe Creator shuttle and truck, but it's way too small to use in the City layout. Maybe I can hide it in the distance as a perspective trick.

I do like that helmet, and all the helmets. Run out of display space and cash tho, so just buying UCS Star Wars sets that I actually like now, maybe one or two a year max.

I wouldn't mind getting my hands on one of those. I wish they had a reprint service for discontinued models - I'd imagine they still make the parts.
