My son just built the first Minion from the set. Gotta say itís fucking brilliant. Would definitely recommend picking this up especially in a few months imagine it will be £37 or so, but even at £45 itís great value.

We got my eldest a Mega Bloks Minion a few years ago. It was excruciating to put together. He had no chance. Will keep an eye out for that on sale though, he loves all of that.

Is it me or do these look a lot better than the official Lego ones: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/uk-england-nottinghamshire-53271864/coronavirus-lego-helped-me-get-out-of-bed

I appreciate the official ones you could hang on the wall etc and would be cheaper etc but these just look so much better.

They look far less detailed, but I wouldnít say they looked better.
Thereís nothing stopping you from making those instead though.

So torn on Lego NES system. The gaming and Lego fan in me loves it although I never really heavily got into Nintendo gaming pre-SNES so NES is not my favourite N-System. Do like the retro look tho. Admire the Lego mechanics of it. It will probably also end up very collectible long term.

Other part of me thinks what a crazy amount of money for a Lego version of a console setup with practically no use other than as a dust magnet at a time when there is so many more worthwhile things to put money towards.

Better part of me thinks a donation to Fairy Bricks after what happened to them this week is far better money spent!

Arseholes. A colleague of mine died not long ago, and she loved her Lego. We donated to Fairy Bricks on her memory. Makes my blood boil this sort of thing

My display stand for the Falcon just arrived, so I can start building!

Small problem of needing to disassemble Slave-1, TIE fighter, Sand Crawler, Snow Speeder and the Sea Cow first though....

Wow.. never thought I'd say that about a piano! I'm seriously tempted, even If it's just to show my kids a piano playing itself :)

    Wow yeah that's quite something.
Not my cup of tea generally but you have to admire the ambition in that set.
    Not cheap though.

Has anybody been following the V-22 Osprey set debacle?

Jangbricks somehow managed to talk about it for 80 minutes on his youtube stream a couple of days ago. I watched 30 mins to see what the fuss was all about, not sure how he managed another 50.

The TL;DR is Lego has a policy of not producing military sets. Someone at Lego thought making the model a coastguard variant of a military plane would allow them to circumvent this rule. Sets were made and distributed to shops. Lego suddenly decided that seeing as there are no coastguard versions of this military plane in real life then the rule was broken and issued a recall on all sets before they go on sale. Sets are now worth a lot of money.
