@ZuluHero it's almost as if all entire bag is gone. Hope not because I caught this early on step 2. Or maybe the machine that spat out this party got jammed. |

Registered 14 years ago@elstoof They find out the batch number and work out who was the floor manager when that set came off the line. They are then exiled to the remotest part of Denmark for the rest of their lives. Usually that's not even necessary as they throw themselves on their own sword that very day. -

Registered 16 years agoSure it’s not just a case of having two ‘bag 2’s or similar? Have you actually looked in the box?
Embarrassingly I did that with 1 of my boys Lego minecraft sets. Only caught it as I was counting up all bits missing in that step to bang on on the website.... -

Registered 18 years agoIt had three or four 2 bags. I went through that issue when my son built the Bugatti Chiron and there were lots of pieces missing. Found the second 1 bag.
Double checked the box for missed bags this time and sadly none were found.
Part off me is really curious to see how Lego will handle this. -

Is it some kind of Scandinavian mind trick? -

Yeah, very normal. Even had a few extras with tiny sets like the ones they throw in the bag as a freebie.
It definitely seems a bit suspect. You'd think their sorting mechanisms would be top notch, but they're throwing away millions of pieces. -

Registered 4 years agoHad a few sets with missing pieces which is annoying. Trying to rummage around the spare Lego box for them.. I know you can contact Lego but seems like a faff when you just want it completed.

Registered 14 years ago@X201 There's always a handful of small pieces like 1x1 tiles etc left over. Something to do with the tolerances in the weighing machines I think. Any larger pieces and you probably should probably start looking back through the instruction book. -

They’re all small pieces, largest is a thin three simple strip -

Registered 16 years agoBiggest by what metric though, they manufacture the “most tyres” but I’m sure Dunlop makes more money off theirs -

The completed model looks superb and they used some really clever techniques to get the shape just right - making for a really fun build. -
The eight year old had the following sets for Christmas:-
Harry Potter Clock Tower (built Boxing Day)
Star Wars Obi Wan’s Hut (built Boxing Day)
Friends Ice Cream Truck (built Boxing Day)
New Millennium Falcon (ongoing, 3 bags in) -

Registered 15 years agoI’m starting to regret buying barracuda Bay for my 7 year old.
It took us all day to make together, which was a lot of fun, and it’s a great looking set, but it’s very fragile. He’s played with it a lot but it’s slowly starting to break apart which is a bit frustrating to watch.
In hindsight he is probably a bit young for such a big set. -
I’m having a bit of a tidy up and found my hobbit house. Not really my thing to display these days so I think I’ll sell it. I assume it’s eBay or list it on some Lego specific sites...
