That's hideous and I think really unimaginative.

Isn't it spot on compared to the movie?

I'm not a fan of Willy Wonka though, so not interested in the set.
This Lisbon Tram on the other hand.

@Tonka The new one or the original? It could be, I'm not really a fan myself, especially the new one.

The tram is adorable, but I'd like to see other Nintendo collaborations too, like the Super Metroid Set:

Oh and the Polar Express, because there aren't enough Steam Trains

@freddymercurystwin The original.Agree that the old one is better, but I'm not a fan of either. Or the book tbh.

Thereís no shortage of LEGO trains on the market at the moment, of course, from 60197 Passenger Train and 60198 Cargo Train to 71044 Disney Train and Station and 10277 Crocodile Locomotive, so The Polar Express may have to rely on its licence to have any chance of being approved.
Fucking lies. We need more trains - especially steam.

Will the SW Tatooine Micro Scene also be available to buy after 1st May or is it only a give away? Thought I saw a 15.99 price on the site but I guess orders only from May 1st?

Can't say I find the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory set inspiring, but will not have a bad word said about the original film. Bonafide all time classic imo.

That Canadian train is super hot in my eyes. I blame my love for train boardgames.

I may have just soiled myself :-) I do love Tornado - I did have a fun journey on it a couple of years ago.

@TechnoHippy yeah, my eldest was massively into trains a few years back and the family (in laws) were paid up members of the Great Central. We managed to get on the footplate in Loughborough Station during one of the running in days (possibly still in the grey non-liveried paint job, I donít recall exactly) and it was like like standing inside a living, breathing beast.

@Dougs Yeah, prefer the darker original but quite like the Burton one too - maybe cos my kids liked it so much when younger. Not sure if the newer one ever came out on 4K HDR but it would be quite a decent HDR movie.

Looking through those the ones that seem most interesting to me are:

The steampunk airship because that just looks awesome and I don't think lego have done something like that before. It's needs a bit more work on the inside in my opinion to give it a bit more life. Also I'm not sure if it could even be built like that with the ballon above without it moving about too much. Also it could probably do with a big propellor on either the back, front or both to finish it off but there's definately something great to be made out of that.

The Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, it's shiny, I think it looks awesome and it really does look like the real thing. I think it's a better model then the bently one and it is far more striking as well.

The Lisbon Tram because there's a lot in it and it would look good in a city scene. Lots to see in it and there's definately some play to be had with that one.

On a similar vein the Claus toys one because that is genuinely done by someone with so much love and attention to detail and it doesn't surprise me that the creator also did Barracuda bay.

On the castle front I'd go with Kings castle because it is far more accesible for play and overal it's a nice size along with the flat back making it better for display.

I was thinking of putting the Scania truck in but there's already been a lot of technic trucks in the recent past I really don't think we need another this soon.

Also on the subject of steam trains there's been alot of them if you are going to do another I think it should be a more unique looking one. Such as a camelback or even one of the 1930's art deco era streamlined ones such as a gresley A4 or maybe one the American streamlined Hudsons.

I'd love a full on grown up just the tram set. Not minifig scale but large enough to get tons of details. Like the Crocodile Locomotive (although that is minifig scale isn't it?).

I love Lisbon and I think their trams are awesome.

Guess the kids will like them :-/

I needed a new train in my life so ordered the Hogwarts Express - I'm not a Harry Potter fan, but it's a steam locomotive :-) Also ordered the Lunar Lander to sit with the Saturn V.

Same, not a HP fan, but I actually like building MOC Steam trains, so I bought 2 (one to keep, one for parts) :)
