I thought the SW freebies (Tatooine or the Imperial Shuttle) are only between 1st and 5th of May

Lol what i meant was, i ordered the two star wars helmets back in easter, and got allocated the easter freebies.

But the helmets didn't actually release until this week (mine arrived today).

if i'd have thought about it, i would have waited until the weekend and got the SW freebies plus double VIP points.

But they might have been out of stock, couldn't risk that. Plus I needed them for the boys birthday, would have been cutting it fine.

Going to have to get a display case for them when we do his room. They're expensive, but looks the absolute nuts.

The Lego Ghostbusters Ecto-1 is available for £119.69 from Amazon EU.

    https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B08G4PD84J?smid=A30DC7701CXIBH

Itís £179.99 on Lego.com so thatís a pretty decent saving.

I have given in and hit the order button. R2-D2 will have to wait a bit longerÖ

Seeing as the set was supposed to coincide with the new movie, it will probably go back up in price when it does come out. So grab it now if you're thinking about it.

I wondered that - did a bit of research and apparently the threshold for customs charges is £135 so I should be ok. My invoice from Amazon says VAT has been applied within the price - again, for items under £135, retailers should include VAT in the advertised price.

    Quite a good summary here:

    https://www.which.co.uk/news/2021/03/brexit-the-new-online-shopping-and-delivery-charges-you-need-to-know/

    Fingers crossed!!

I got it for xmas and its amazing. Im not really a big fan of lego, all told but it is a big old unit and looks good enough built that I dont mind having it out.

If you like this kind of thing, I would suggest that its 'a good build'.

Iíll likely get that! Not keen on more stickers and why even bother with the Spiderman car??

Itís a great display piece though.

The re view I saw said that it wasnít that repetitive, and the parts that are are spaced out.

I donít think it look great for display, other than the size. Itís the least interesting building I think theyíve every released, and itís only the 25 mini figs that make it interesting. The GB fire station is far more iconic and visually interesting, and the 3 Ninjago city sets are probably the best buildings theyíve ever done. This is just a grey block with stuff on it.

Might look much better in person though. Interested in seeing it at some point.

Spider car is just weird though, it just looks stuck on and out of place.

Yeah, not one I'd want the boy to have on display really.

I am now on a mission to find Ecto1 for him for Christmas. Zavvi for £150 at the moment...

I think Costco have it at 144 if you know anyone near one. Set an HDUK deal alert because the price seems all over the place.

Although the film itís based on is actually coming out this year, so it may stay closer to RRP after that.

(Itís based on the one in the new movie. The ladder changed sides, it has a gunner seat and they give you some shitty rust decals which I didnít apply)

The Ecto 1 is up at around £130 inc delivery from a few sellers on Amazon but with a slightly vague delivery period.

Ecto-1 has arrived from Amazon! No extra Brexit charges and it arrived well packaged with a bubble wrap sleeve over the box inside a big Amazon box with all the screwed up brown paper they use to stop things moving around.

It arrived a little early too - thought Iíd be waiting well into June for it.

Itís a big heavy box - looks like a lot of fun!

Got the girlfriend into the Lego. She went and bought the Treehouse after testing the waters on a couple of Creator sets.

Kind of blissful to have her building away from her tray of brown and green while I push grey and grey around building the latest - and my fourth - regular Falcon

New "Largest Lego set Evar!" World Map is not going down well with the Brickset massive.

What a dull build and end result, I mean if you're gonna hang a map on the a wall it may as well show the bloomin countries at least.

    That is an eye sore.

It's like the vision you get if you smash yourself in both eyes - just lots of coloured dots.

That's possibly their worst ever set
