That one is pretty drab and plain.

Given the time and money Iíve always fancied trying my hand at this one. I have a nice place to put it also, like the idea of marking it with flags for where Iíve been.

Does anyone know of any others?

I don't really like criticising other people's work (that I haven't paid for) as, often, it's still better than I could do anyway.

But I really could do better than that. I think my son could. It's genuinely hideous. What were they thinking?

It'll still sell because people will stick it in attics in the hope it gains money. But it's bloody awful.

I wonít be buying it, I donít really want a LEGO world map, but I donít really get the hate. I think it looks alright.

If you want something that simulates what it's like to work in a sweatshop spending a whole day sticking 11,000 dots on something it's a fantastic set.

That looks like the most tedious build of all time. No thanks.

That map is awful, could be quickly reduced in price though if you are tempted.

Thatís how much the manufacturer suggests to retailers they should sell it for.

    Typewriter does look cool.

@Freddy - I built Dom's Charger and imho it's the worst set I've ever done. There were plenty of others who liked it though, so YMMV.

@boo I bought the Charger a while back but actually only ordered it when I saw a YouTube fix for the stance which lowered it down a bit, that said I ended up not building it as it's too wide for our Lego shelves so another one that's gone into the loft.

I liked it, and I'm not a huge fan of Technic. It's a decent size for a display set too.

It didn't persuade me to buy more Technic though, so make of that what you will 😊

Ooh just seen the typewriter, how cool/cute is that! I quite like the new Haunted House too.

I just ordered the Porsche (the Creator expert one). I've been looking at it since it was released, but now there was a decent discount. First Lego set since the Technic Ducati last year.

Usually I go for Technic, but this model is just so well done I just had to have it (Plus it might actually fit on my desk. Technic tends to be BIG :) )

I don't normally go for the Technic supercars though have to say the Ferrari looks quite sweet but I'd have to leave all the stickers off.

The Creator Expert Porsche does look like a well realised version of the real thing. I would love it if the creator car / vehicle models could be to a consistent scale. 1/18 or whatever. Would make them far more collectable. I know that's pretty much impossible with lego though.

That Ideas typewriter has turned out to be a great little set. Looks like a pretty complex mechanism wrapped in a beautifully compact case.

If you're in the market for a Creator Expert car, the Mustang is a phenomenally good set. Really nice build and looks incredible on display.

It's got 15% off at John Lewis at the moment.

@ZuluHero I got it from MisterBricks (Dutch shop, sorry). The Lego shop price is 149 euro in the Netherlands, I got it for 129.

I was really torn between getting the Mustang or the Porsche. They are from the same (brilliant) designer. Watch the reviews from Jangbricks and Sariel on YouTube to get an idea about how awesome they are.
In the end the Porsche won because, well, it's a Porsche (given my age, it made more sense to buy a Porsche #midlifecrisis ;))

Remember to display it upside down in a hedge, for that genuine 1980s Yuppie effect

That's novel, certainly a change from spaceships and castles.
