Never let it said that I was averse to a bit of auto-trumpetry. Just released my first app for iPhone/iPad - a kid's ABC app based on Chris Judge's book The Lonely Beast. Fully playable drumkit and all. Hope you like it, feedback of all sorts welcome. iPhone flavour |
Alphabeast - my first app

Here's the book it's based on:

I never saw the strings before D:

I robbed that from Dirtbox at some point so don't blame me! -

Registered 18 years agoHope some of you have seen the app in the Apple's new iPad ad campaign (we're the L is for light app on the TV ad + you might have spotted the S is for shell screen out and about on billboards).
Oh, and it's now called The Lonely Beast ABC, for reasons far too tedious to go in to here.
Anyway: free stuff! Here are a couple of promo codes for the (freshly retina-fied) iPad version:

Oh! I just bought it for my little feller! Made a massive sound of delight when the crab clopped it's pincers! He is always trying to get a go on "the letters".
Only negative is sometimes the scene becomes unresponsive, but he has learnt to flick off and back to the page again. (Turn it off and on again
)
Hopefully more stuff like this please! Loves this and Nighty Night. -

Registered 18 years ago@Widge Brilliant, glad you like it! We've got a counting one on the way very soon.
Will have to look at that unresponsiveness though, that's a bit worrying. -

If it helps, iPad 4 32GB. Sometimes you go onto a "letter" and you jab away but nothing happens, swipe off, swipe on and it's ok again. I'm thinking you are helping teach youngsters the fundamentals of IT support.

Yeah, less menu items mean less chance of random fingers ending up on a confusing screen by accident. -

... just wished to say how utterly MARVELLOUS your little App is Mr. City Sickness!
I might be 25 years old, but gosh darn it if I find it to be jolly good jelly wobbliness fun.

Universal version out now, by the way (and I went for the region settings option, so go poke around there if you miss the 'zed's). -
