Hey! As the title suggests, the people at Prima Games (the game guide writers) are looking for volunteers who would like to manage game pages on their website. So, for example, maybe you're an expert on Tropico 4 and you know everything about it (you don't know as much as me, BACK OFF). If so you'd be responsible for moderating the Tropico 4 page, answering any reader questions about the game, making sure reader submitted content is relevant and possibly creating your own guide if you're so inclined. Could be a good opportunity for those of you in college or uni looking for some community management / writing experience; and would be a nice addition for your CV. If you're interested, send me a PM (link below) and I'll point you in the right direction. Edited by Venatio at 15:35:11 02-02-2012 |

Registered 10 years agoWouldn't Prima Games, of all people, be best served by NOT having a forum?
Or will the standard volunteer moderator response to any question be 'see our handy guide on P34'? And then deleting any references to GameFAQs. -

Good point - I suppose that means they'd need to provide you with a copy of the guide for free in order to do this role.

Registered 10 years agoIt is odd when there are so many wiki guides & google docs to accompany gameFAQs. There is nothing to stop these volunteers becoming as bored with the idea of updating pages constantly as all the other wiki contributers out there.
Ofcourse if your CV needs a boost it can't hurt. -

Registered 11 years ago@chrisno21 You're right, there is nothing to stop but in some ways, that is their right as volunteers to stop bothering with it. -
