Congrats! I have also delivered a baby, albeit not in the comfort of my own bathroom, so I know exactly how you feel.

Well done and welcome to the club.

Very sensible in relocating to the bathroom - it would have made it much easier for your wife to clean up later.

    Kidding! Kidding!! :oD

Congrats! I wouldn't have know where to start. Hope you're all doing well.

Nor me, but I know how it'd end; with a bottle of whisky and a Valium.

Congratulations mate. That's gotta take some going to keep calm. Can't say I hope to find myself in that situation come next May.

I rang the midwife when things started getting moving. She told me to call 999 who were excellent. Ambulance arrived 5 mins later but by that point baby had arrived. I "caught" her when she was born, plonked her down on a towel on the toilet lid and she started squawking. We were induced with our first so we're expecting something not quite so quick. My wife didn't even have a paracetamol it happened so quickly. She bossed it. It does show how incredibly powerful hormones can be!!

I panicked like hell when my wife asked me if I could see anything...first it was no then the head started to appear. Lol I must've sounded frantic on the phone to 999. There was a real delboy moment when the operator asked me for the age of the patient and I said "she's a baby". She meant my wife.

Woa nice going, was someone talking you through it on the phone? Mines due in January and that's possibly my worst nightmare.

Number 2 (and hopefully final) child is on the way in March, so in the process of pushing number 1 through a bunch of transitional stuff during the Autumn - dummy ditched, duvet, new room and bed to come. Hoping she'll be relatively settled when her brother arrives.

Part of me still wonders why we're about to turn our lives upside down again, especially as number 1 has been an easy one - sleeping, eating, nursery etc. There's no way number 2 will play ball, that'd be much too fortunate.

All my mates now either have kids or are trying to have kids, it sucks in terms of my social life.

I've said I didn't want one but I'm properly looking forward to it now. Mainly because I'm fucking awesome and having a little one of me running around will be equally awesome.
Aww that'll be lovely when he's old enough for an EG account, he could be number 2.

    Oh.
