Registered 12 years agoI bought Jacob Jones and it's pretty enjoyable so far. Beautifully presented. Would love to see a platformer with this art style.
Will pick up Machinarium at another time. Looks brilliant but it bothers me that it doesn't take up the whole Vita screen. Would that have really been that hard to implement? -

Registered 13 years agoFinished Jacob Jones this morning - short at just about 3 hours, but a very charming game with some decent puzzles. I'll definitely be getting episodes 2-5.

Oh - Men's Room Mayhem looks pretty good, and will apparently be under a quid for PS+'ers. I also got the Ratchet & Clank game for Christmas, but have been holding out for the PSV version.
Between these new releases and PS+, my backlog is growing... -

I probably wouldn't have looked at this as a single game for £8-10, but the episodic nature of it and the low cost of the first episode prompted me to dive in. I'm glad I did.gif)

Registered 11 years agoI'm sure episodic gaming is something we are going to see more of, I'm a fan as long as each episode of any game has its own merits as obviously low sales can halt an episodic game at any time. -

There's also a lot of DLC for R&C. -

Registered 11 years agoWorryingly impressions on the blog for R&C seem to be REALLY bad with the Vita unable to run the game. I'd avoid it for now if you haven't bought it yet. Has anyone bought it? Glad I didn't go straight home now as I would have picked it up as I'm really enjoying the PSP game, it's brilliant for those who haven't played it yet. -

Registered 12 years agoTime for another lull in proceedings (and I'm late home for the 3rd Wednesday in a row). First up, we have the VERY belated release of Ratchet & Clank: QForce, which can finally be downloaded on your Vita if you owned the PS3 version of the game. There's also a shed load of DLC which looks all surplus to requirements anyway.
Then we have Men's Room Mayhem, a Flight Control-esque game where you have to direct men towards the urinals and enable them to relieve themselves (I think). It's very cheap for a new game at £2 and if you have PS+, well it's the cost of a lottery ticket. Some LBP Vita Mass Effect costumes round off this week's update.
