you can but you need to liase with the support team via email, and they need something like eight pieces of information including several codes related to the game along with details of the card used to make the purchase. I'm incredibly lazy so I just reported my card as stolen. Job done! |

Registered 12 years agoI just played this in a tent set up in the middle of Coventry city centre. It's the definition of generic military shooter. I won't be going near it, especially since having played spec ops and developing a conscience.
In fairness to the poor sods running the promo, they were offering t-shirts, posters and tins to people pre ordering at the game store over the road. -

What a pain in the arse. It's probably breaking some consumer rights law, sounds very convoluted.

Yeah, the problem is, I remember trying to contact them via the same address about a different game and they didn't reply.
When I worked on a help desk we got our asses handed to us if we ignored a request.
When it got to two days without hearing from them I lost faith, so I cancelled the card before they replied with the request for the info. -

Registered 18 years agoThe last campaign walkthrough looked awful, tired old crap. I could barely watch it without getting bored. Danger Close on the chopping board or DLC duty for some other game next year. -

Registered 15 years agoThe beta was terrible. I must be getting because I found all the UI/HUD small text on the screen overwhelming. Graphics looked PS2 quality -
The beta was shit and it felt like a generic headless chicken twitchfest like COD. Won't be going near it.
The best MOH game is Airborne. Nit sure if people still playing though

Registered 11 years agoSo apparently, the game was pretty much broken - however, a day 1 patch has been released which fixes all the issues.
Gives me hope that the game isnt a turd. -

Registered 20 years agoI thought MoH was supposed to be a reasonable reflection of what it's like to be a tier 1 operator, then I watched the opening level on YouTube and it's about as realistic as Bubble Bobble. -

Registered 17 years agoAs I just posted in the comments, it reminds me of the Boiling Point patch. Do dogs now cast shadows, and do jaguars still fly at tree level? -

Registered 11 years agoWatched Battlefieldo live streaming this lastnight and they seemed to be getting all hard over it.I saw nothing new to warrant throwing more money at the same ol' same ol.
The maps may look open but are still just corridors. If you love that kind of infantry gameplay. Then I am sure you will find some joy in it.But when I have BF3 sitting there with Aftermath DLC in December,MOHW had to be a game which knocked my socks off to want to buy it. -
Hope it turns out to be good after all. Don't regret shit canning my pre-order though..

Registered 15 years agoIs this one more focused on MP, with a throwaway SP like BF3? I'm willing to give the SP a shot, even if this looks like the most bog-standard shooter I've ever seen. -

No, the SP is a lot better than BF3s and it still captures the same atmosphere and feel as the previous MOH managed. There are a couple of standout levels too.
If you like your shooting I'd say its a reasonably safe bet. -
cool. Good to hear -

Registered 11 years agoHaving seen some more.
There is one MP map I actually like the look of.And there is one that glows completely red like a hookers bedroom.[What were they thinking?].
I like the gun sounds and gun models. But gameplay has been one group stands at one end of a chokepoint fighting the enemy at the other end of a chokepoint.Until someone throws a grenade and gets some easy kills.
Not as bad as the beta.I am sure there is enough here to keep those into this type of FPS entertained. -
I quite like that though, having clearly defined front lines I mean. I hate that COD is like a carousel where, even if you're cautious you get rear ended.

That sounds quite a lot like the MP in the last MoH... which I thoroughly enjoyed.

Have they still got Combat Mission in the MP? It was kind of like Rush mode from Battlefield but had additional objectives like holding an area for a certain amount of time, as well as the traditional blowing up Mcoms and stuff. -
It has alot of different game modes.
If you liked the MP of the first game,I don't see why you would not enjoy this.
This falls squarely inbetween COD and Battlefield,COD type maps with Battlefield gunplay.Probably a slower mans COD if I had to put a label on it.
