According to amazon Virtues Last Reward (Vita) is frequently bought together with Virtues Last Reward (Nintendo DS). Add both to basket? Hmm, no.... |

Registered 13 years agoGot this ordered, haven't played 999 though. Is that gonna be an issue do you think, should I get that first? -

Registered 7 years agoNo, but if you are going to play 999 then do it first as VLR will spoil some of 999 for you otherwise. -

Registered 9 years agoIs it possible to have 2 separate saves on this? I want it for the gf as much as myself. -

Registered 7 years agoYes, normal Vita save system. It saves to the game card, by the way. -

Registered 8 years agoSensational game. That is all.
Edit: English voice overs are brilliant, highly recommend importing the US version.

Registered 13 years ago^^ Agreed. Can't imagine playing the game without the English voice overs. They really added to the game IMO. -

It would be the same thing as playing Portal 2 muted.

Registered 8 years agoJust finished this, and I was really impressed. Characterisation was generally very strong, and script was top-notch - easily the best localisation of Japanese dialogue I've ever come across. Some may argue that some of the humour was a bit too childish given the subject matter as a whole, but personally I really appreciated the change in pace and tone every now and again.
I was shocked to see Eurogamer only award VLR a 7/10 when they the site as a whole seems so keen to promote lesser-known titles that try to do something a little different. I honestly cannot remember coming across another game quite like this that has seen release in the West. To make matters even more confusing, it won GameSpot's Handheld GOTY, basically confounding my expectations of the two sites completely.

Really is a quality game - certainly one of my top 5 for 2012. -

Registered 6 years agoBy far the best game I've played on the Vita thus far. Sunk 45 hours into it and every time when I thought I was getting to the end more would come! Loved ever minute of it.
I imported a copy but now I have finished, if anyone would like to save the hassle of importing it themselves (to get the english voices) then give me a shout and you can buy my copy. I'm more then happy to share this fantastic experience! I'm London based. -

Registered 7 years agoJust so you know, save files are on the game card. If you're completely done with it and never plan to play it again then that's fine, but I just thought I should mention it. -

Registered 9 years agoI picked up the US version and even though it was about a tenner more than the EU version it was worth every penny for the voices!
cockney robots FTW!
The plot was fantastic as well, I didn't think it could get any crazier after 999, how wrong I was.
Bring on the 3rd game! Also, who the hell is Phi? So many questions! Thank fuck the 3rd game has been confirmed. Fingers crossed for another excellent English dub. -

Exactly. It's worth it for the cockney robot alone.

Registered 13 years agoBearing down on the 30 hour mark. Can't see myself being done with it any time soon though - plenty of endings to go!
Now the locks - when they're green does that mean I'm ready to go back to them? -

I know it has multiple endings, but how long is one playthrough?
I want to be finished by the time Persona 4 releases in Europe. -

Registered 13 years agoI've about 29 hours in and have about half the endings. That's not to say it's a 60 hour game - my progress towards those missing endings is at various stages. You'll see. I reckon I may have up to another 10 hours to go. -

Can you do 30 hours in a month? -

I didn't realise these things for about 10 hours.

Registered 7 years agoThat must have been a relief when you realised! I love the writing but I was very grateful for the skip button by the end. -
I'd say! Had to play through a couple of storylines again when I did though. If I'd never realised, I'd never be getting the revelations
