I've heard a lot about Cloud Nothings, and I trust Wichita, so I'll give it a listen. |

Registered 10 years agoThe older stuff is worth hearing too. The Leave You Forever EP is great. Really lo-fi, recorded on a computer, etc. Attack on Memory is undoubtedly a big step up, though. -

Registered 12 years agoA quick half hour walk in the sun listening to The Smiths 'Hatful of Hollow'. Marvellous.
In fact, since it was nearly 20C in March *and* in Scotland, it's quite frankly, fucking astounding. -

Registered 14 years agoReally getting into the first four Soft Machine albums. Trying out new music styles I would previously have dismissed and having an exceedingly proggy 2012 as a result. -

Bill Callahan - Apocalypse. In my personal top 20 albums of all time (I think). Cheery AND melancholy.
Also: The Fall - Fall Heads Roll and Frank Black - Teenager of the Year
And I admit to playing The Dreaming by Kate Bush in the car a lot recently (after not hearing it for about 15 years). -

Mainly this week, the news mars volta album. I can't quite put my finger on it, but its the most listened to MV album during launch week. Its pretty ambitious, its a delicate mix of deloused and octahedron. -

This is B.A.D. Not enjoying it like I once did. It's hasn't dated well for me. Except for this track, of course:

I've somehow managed to not hear a single track off that album, ever. How's it compare with her other stuff.

I assume Bremenacht's struggling to listen to Big Audio Dynamite, but I can't check at work. I haven't heard them in years either. Might dig out some of their stuff later and see how it's aged. -

I hope it's good. I heard Treat Me Like Your Mother on BBC 2's Glastonbury coverage a few years ago and it blew me away. Bought the album used off Amazon for a couple of quid and it has just arrived. -

It is good – very, in fact. Better than the Raconteurs and as good as the best material from the Stripes for me. For the most part it's a thundering rock and roll album that flirts with different genres to much success. It was a surprise treat when it first came out as I wasn't expecting much as the rather limp Raconteurs made me dubious about Jack White in a super group, but I'm glad I was proven wrong as I love it.

Heard this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rlvBQZB3h-4 on the Radio today at work and forgot what a massive tttttuuunnnneee it was. I put it straight on when I got home and I’ve been raving ever since (and by that I mean listening to it seated while perusing the internet and drinking a cup of tea). RAVE ON!!
