The Cure - Head on the Door

Still can't decide whether I prefer this or Disintegration.

    Spotify just recommended me this:

Thanks Spotify. Proof that a even a song that is just 1m 40s long can be twice as long as it should be.

I wish we could roll back music video production 20 years. I miss hip hop videos like this.

Driving into work in the pissing rain with When The Levee Breaks on.
    All kinds of good.

Currently addicted to Robert Plant's Carry Fire.

His back up band is brilliant and his voice still gives me goose bumps. There's some very Radioheady break downs too which I obviously got a lot out of.

    Fever Ray - Plunge

I'm liking it. Bit harsher sounding than the first album; bit more industrial in places. Perhaps more like The Knife, but more varied too.

Yeah I'm loving this too, wasn't sure on first listen but it's excellent. I saw her live when she toured her last album, one of the best gigs I've ever been to.

Christ, just saw on Spotify that the first album got released 8 years ago. I would have said 4 years at best. Time is a jetplane.

Discovered Wolf Alice last week on Jools Holland.

Absolutely corking - some really chilled out stuff like the above, and then others can be absolute screamers.

I've yet to see the actual movie but the soundtrack seems bloody marvelous and respectful of the stunning work Vangelis did for Blade Runner.

I have been binging on the new 'Brand New' album. Yes, I will get laughed at for being 'emo', but I think they've steered more into a grunge-esque Alice In Chains/Soundgarden-style sound now.
