    @alt-cmd-esc Saw your talking about Jobriath while scrolling back through the thread for things to listen to. Great post. Wonderful album.

    Okkervil River have a poignant track about Jobriath's life and music: 'Bruce Wayne Campbell Interviewed on the Roof of the Chelsea Hotel, 1979'. Not a Batman/Evil Dead crossover, but reference to his birth name and later gig doing cabaret in NYC.

    M83 - DSVII

    An album influenced by 80's video game music and synth film soundtracks. Not a single word spoken so far, but some very nice noises going on.

    I decided to try out Amazon music HD (Jesus) so have been going through a lot of stuff, mostly movie scores, comparing it to my ripped CD collection. I'm not overly impressed with the supposed CD quality it's supposed to offer to be honest, it doesn't have the dynamic range of true loseless audio.

    The new Richard Dawson is predictably amazing although it's after a run of incredible dark, light, paranoid, scary, hopeful folk albums this one has some really crunchy riffs on it

    @DUFFMAN5 Despite my big prog tendencies, I could never get into Genesis! I have "Nursery Cryme" in a crate of records somewhere, might be time to try again.

    This evening - Kraftwerk's "Computer World" on repeat. A sublime, forward-thinking, indomitable piece of work.

    Especially this - https://youtu.be/ZtWTUt2RZh0

    @MrAGSystems

    Conversely I'm not a prog rock fan but I do love the PG years of Genesis for some reason.

    I did try and listen to some Marillion but beyond the rather Great Kayleigh, it did nowt for me. Punch and Judy just made me laugh!

    @DUFFMAN5 Ah, I'd say Punch and Judy is one of my least favourite songs of theirs! However, my favourite song of theirs is directly after it on the Fugazi record... namely Jigsaw. That chorus is huge!

    Plus, it has some of Steve Rothery's magical lead guitar.

    Absolutely loving Big Thief. My two favourite albums this year were both released by them.

    Also listening to Pixies new one, Ghosteen by Nick Cave and still quite taken with The National's latest
